2. Melissa knew she shouldn’t watch some TV shows because they glorified immoral lifestyles. But out of curiosity, she often turned to those shows and found herself laughing at some indecent humor. Afterward she felt guilty. What would you advise her?Remember Joseph and follow his example. His love and respect for God helped him walk away from the temptation.

You shall not steal.What does this mean?We should fear and love God that we do not take our neighbor’s money or property, or get it by dishonest dealing, but help him to improve and protect his property and means of income.

We shouldn’t steal it.

James reminds us that everything we have comes from God, and if God hasn’t given us something he has good reason. Ephesians 4:28 tells us it is wrong to steal.

They took by force something that God had given to someone else.

He probably thought he wasn’t taking it from anyone. It would all go to waste. And no one would ever know it was missing.

5. Kirsten stole a pack of gum but didn’t think it was a big deal because it was only gum. How does God show us any stealing is serious in 1 Corinthians 6:9,10?

Thieves are listen among those who will not inherit the kingdom of God.

6. Travis saw a man drop a $20 bill and quickly picked it up and put it in his pocket. Explain why Travis was guilty of breaking the 7th Commandment?

The money wasn’t his. Travis should have given it back to the stranger.

11.Welfare is a government program to help people who cannot work. But if a person who can work refuses to do so and still picks up a welfare check, he is guilty of stealing. How?He would be guilty of taking money from the government he didn’t deserve. He would be stealing from those that truly needed the money. It would also mean that taxpayers would have to pay more taxes to support him.
