Module 3

Machine shorthand fourth year

Improving Machine Shorthand Skills

What this module is about? Shorthand skills are essential for recording quickly the reminders or important notes of our

company boss, or even in court trials. Now machine shorthand will be very beneficial to us since it doesn’trequire manual stenography. This module is about the more letters, abbreviations, phrases, derivatives andsentences that could be done with the machine shorthand. This module will give more practice and skills

development among the students.

What you are expected to learn?  At the end of the module, students must be able to:

a)  Learn new key combinations of letters, abbreviations, and derivatives.b)   Appreciate the importance of machine shorthand.c)  Improve accuracy in typing using the machine shorthand keyboard.

How to learn from this module:

I’d like the students to position their hands as ther e is real and authentic machineshorthand keyboard in front of them and build in them the desire of doing so. Then as Imention the letter/s or phrases, the students will strike the keys correctly.

One must be able to answer the self check and activities with honesty and ease.
