Since Neo-Neon first began in business,

we have always been the pioneer and

leader in the lighting industry. We began

our impressive list of ‘FIRST’ to market with

the introduction of incandescent millet

bulbs for decorative purposes. Soon after,

known, trade marked and highly trusted in

In early 1996, another major ‘FIRST’ for

Neo-Neon was the discovery and application

of LEDs to decorative lighting products. We

were the first to manufacture rope light,

light strings and other linear light products

using LEDs in their production. This break-

through achievement revolutionised the

decorative lighting landscape and changed

the market forever.

As production transitioned from incandescent

to LED, products became better, more

affordable, more durable and versatile, and

easier for the mass market to use.

New Challenges

As LEDs become the industrial norm, their

success has spawned a number of new

challenges. One major challenge that we

in the industry face is the increasing labor

shortage in China. The standard method

of linear light production requires a sig-

nificant amount of manual labor to sol-

der and assemble the full range of linear

lighting products.

The Third Lighting Revolution

- Automation

Neon-Neon has virtually solved this

challenge by automating the linear

lighting production method. With this

new automated technology, we now no

longer traditionally ‘manufacture’ products

but essentially ‘print’ our products. We have

developed a new production method using

our patented technology to make a ‘mother

board’ which can fit into the majority of Neo

Neon’s major linear lighting lines. All of the

products that we are well know for includ-

ing LED Rope Light, LED Tape Light, LED

Tape Light String as well as LED Neon Flex,

will all be produced in this exciting new au-

tomatic production method.

- Introducing SMD+ Polyimide Technology

Neo-Neon is again leading the industry

by bonding SMD+ chips to a space-age

Polyimide backing. This SMD+ Polyimide

technology in parallel with our new auto-

matic production method will become the

industrial standard in the near future.

With our revolutionary developments,

we may be able to eliminate all quality

and labor shortage challenges that are

faced by the majority of manufactures

in the lighting industry. Our new linear

lighted products will be made by auto-

mated machines in an all-in-one process

that eliminates the chance of defects

along the traditional multi-staged man-

to produce over 100 million USD worth

of linear lights monthly. This produc-

Neo-Neon Holdings Ltd. launched a successful T D R l i s t i n g i n Ta i w a n w h i c h e xc e e d e d expectations. Neo-Neon Holdings (HKG:1868) offer price of its Taiwan Depositary Receipt (TDR) issue was priced at NT$12.9 ($3.1) per TDR.

The 140 million units of TDRs were issued, with each TDR representing 0.5 share. The TDR involves an issue of 70 million shares, consisting of 14.6 million shares transferred from shareholder Rightmass Agents and 55.4 million new shares issued by the company.

Neo-Neon intends to use the net proceeds of $337.32 million from the TDR issue for expansion of its production capacity of the LED-based lighting business in the PRC to cater for the rising local demands.

Neo-Neon and Shanghai Expo 2010 On May 1, 2010, the Shanghai Expo opened to an exciting and successful opening ceremony. The theme of the Shanghai Expo was “City, make life better!” which aimed at making city life better and more sustainable for all cities around the world. The driving concept for Expo 2010 was that of a ‘Clean’ Expo. As such, new ‘green’ and environmentally friendly LED products were widely applied for general and decorative illumination throughout the Expo grounds and surrounding city. It is estimated that 60-70% of general illumination products and up to 80% of landscaping lighting used LED technology. This Shanghai Expo 2010 was a glowing showcase for the features and benefits of using LEDs for making city life more efficient, affordable and more environmentally friendly.

Neo-Neon’s LED lights were featured in the opening ceremony and in 7 main hall projects such as the Expo Culture Center and City Person Hall. Yinyu Lighting Company, under Hong Kong Neo-Neon Group, has received wide attention from designers from all around the world and were called upon to provide their expertise in offering design solutions and LED products for different aspects of the exposition.

Through Neo-Neon’s Yinyu Lighting Company, 6000 pieces of the LED IP67 were supplied. These are 50cm balls with RGB LEDs that are battery powered and completed with wireless DMX. These LED balls illuminated the Huangpu River which accentuated the fireworks show that lit up the sky over the Expo grounds. The LED

IP67 wireless, battery operated balls with their 4+ hour battery life, were a huge success and gathered much interest in the auction after the Expo and for prospective use in future projects.

• Neo-Neon also supplied 3350 pcs of LED RGB High Power, Slim Line Wall Washer fixtures and nearly 1000 pcs of LED RGB High Power, multi-row angle adjustable wall wash fixtures to illuminate the exterior of the Expo Culture Center.• Hundreds of Neo-Neon LED RGB DMX mini-tubes and Crystal LED Neon Flex decorated the Australia hall creating a futuristic dream illusion. • Neo-Neon LED Wall Wash Fixtures illuminated the exterior of the Peruvian pyramid.• Neo-Neon LED High Power Aqua fixtures beautifully lit up the 13 meter waterfall on the USA Expo hall.

COMPANY STATEMENT

Neo-Neon plans an aggressive Chip Production Capacity expansion to secure its own and to supply our valued customers’ SMD 3528 White LED needs. With projected production of over 30,000 wafers per month by the end of 2010, to having over 80 MOCVD’s in operation over the next five years, this will supply increased demand and diminishes the threat of an LED shortage. Neo-Neon has also expanded its production capacity with the addition of the new Neo-Neon factory near Hanoi, Vietnam.

With ever increases costs in material and labor causing additional market pressures – especially in the labor intensive products such as light strings and rope lighting – Neo-Neon brought the Vietnam factory online to enable quick

(12 December 2006 – Hong Kong) Neo-Neon Holdings Limited (“Neo-Neon” together with its subsidiaries, collectively “the Group”, SEHK Code: 1868), one of the world’s leading decorative lighting manufacturers, announced today impressive subscription results. A total of 26,969 valid applications were received pursuant to the Hong Kong Public Offer, amounting to a total of 953,083,000 shares which is equivalent to about 48 times subscription. The International Offering to institutional investors was also very significantly over-subscribed. The Offer Price was fixed at the top end of HK$6.9 per share.

The encouraging over-subscription level in the Hong Kong Public Offer triggered the clawback mechanism from the International Offer. As such, the number of shares offered under the Hong Kong Public Offer increased from 20,000,000 shares (or 10% of the Global Offering), to 60,000,000 shares (or 30% of the Global Offering). The total number of shares offered under the

International Offer was reduced to 140,000,000 shares, representing 70% of the Global Offering. There was an over-allocation option of up to 30,000,000 additional sale shares from Transpac Group, representing 15% of the shares initially available under the Global Offering.

The offering was an enormous success which illustrates the markets confidence in Neo-Neon and the future of LED technology.

LED CHIP FACTORYIn 2008, construction was completed on Neo-Neon’s own LED Chip Factory. Having this LED Chip factory completed another piece of Neo-Neon’s business strategy of being completely vertically integrated and self-reliant. With it's own Chip Factory, Neo-Neon has elevated itself into the upper echelon of LED Chip manufacturers in the global LED lighting industry.

The demand for LED chips for our own product production as well as the ‘Chip and Package’ market at large has led to further expansions of Neo-Neon’s Chip Production facilities around Asia. Increasing investment into additional MOCVD machines is ongoing in immediate response to market need.

The LED Chip Factory houses 4000 M2, 100p to 10,000p per cubic foot, state-of-the-art Air Clean Room facilities equipped with the very latest equipment such as MOCVD, X-Ray, PL, Visible TSpectrometers, ICP, PECVD, Laser Cutting, and imported metallurgical microscopy. The factory is capable of producing White LEDs as well as LED Epi-wafer, LED chip, LED encapsulation and LED applications. By owning and operating our own LED Chip factory, we are able to present products to the market much faster, ensuring top quality product at the same time as reducing costs. The LED Chip factory is staffed by approximately 120 highly educated, degreed, young, and motivated masters in the field of LED Chip production.

Neo-Neon is ranked in the top five companies globally for the number of granted LED technology Patents and Utility Models. Neo-Neon is ranked with such names as Siemens, Philips, GE, Samsung, and Matsushita.

LEDPRODUCTIONIn 2010, Neo-Neon expanded its encapsulation capacities for DIP LEDS. The Chip Packaging facilities for the latest SMD LEDs have been moved and expanded to meet increased demand. The enlarged SMD Packaging facilities are now operational in the Neo-Neon Photoelectricity premises which house the Epitaxy and Chip Processing factories.

HistoryIn the early years of LED development, Neo-Neon foresaw a bright future of joining solid-state LED lighting technology to the decorative l ighting industry. As with our earlier success of developing and manufacturing purpose-made miniature lamps for decorative lighting, Neo-Neon has successfully integrated LED technology into new decorative lighting categories. Over the years, we have successfully created a full and ever expanding range of LED based decorative and utilitarian products.

In 2002-2003, Neo-Neon established a five-story state-of-the-art LED production factory. In 2010, Neo-Neon moved the SMD encapsulation facility to its chip factory as productivity and sales of SMD LED modules increased sharply.

Now that Neo-Neon produces its own LEDs, we can select the very best LED’s, which are called ‘Spec LEDs’ for the production of our top level products. We are then are able to sort various quality levels of LED’s which then can be used for customers and markets that are more price sensitive and less discerning. This enables our sales team to offer multiple levels of products to meet our customers' specific needs. With our expertise in chip selection, proprietary LED encapsulation along with new bonding methods, we are capitalizing on our long years of applied skills in the areas of vertical integration and mass production for the benefit of all.

In 2007, Neo-Neon completed construction of a new 100,000 M2 state-of-the-art factory to expand the packaging capacity of raw LED’s for the new Commercial LED and Vision Series production lines. This expansion was driven by a number of factors including market demand for LED based products, Neo-Neon’s clear vision of future need, a global desire for energy conservation, and the emergence of WLED (White LED) technology.

From 2007 to 2010 Neo-Neon’s chip production and packaging capacity for LEDs has risen to become one of the largest in Asia and perhaps the world.

SMD+PI TECHNOLOGY HAS BROUGHT US TO NEW ERA OF

LED LINEAR LIGHTING PRODUCTS

Polyimide Film is rated as one of the best insulation material in the world. It has excellent resistance to high and low temperatures, ranging from between -270˚C and +280˚C and can even withstand a temperature of 400˚C for a short period of time. It has excellent mechanical properties with good chemical stability, It is also moisture resistant, has good electrical insulation while being resistance against radiation.

Neo-Neon has invented a revolutionary non-corrosive circuit board technology, using Polyimide Film as its base. Pure copper wire is flattened into a thin, continuous ribbon and bonded to Polyimide Film which produces a circuit that provides extraordinary performance under extreme conditions. Polyimide Film bonded to the circuit board is considered one of the best insulating material in the world.

Neo-Neon’s Duralight, Neon Flex, Tape Lights and Light Strings all use this non-corrosive circuit board and are now being manufactured using a four step automated production process of ; flattening pure copper wire into a thin, continuous ribbon; bonding the copper ribbon onto the Polyimide Film; mounting SMDs onto the circuit; and finally sealing the completed circuit board inside extruded plastic.

Our new circuit board technology ensures products have excellent resistance to extreme temperatures, better waterproof performance and superior thermal and electrical conductivity.

These materials and the automated production method s igni f icant ly improves the l ight brightness and life-span of our products. Our Duralight Light String can reach IP68 waterproof level using this method of production.

Neo-Neon’s new automated process wi l l increase the production capacity of linear light by up to 10 times compared with the traditional complicated and labor intensive method. Product quality will be improved by 40%, with labor reduced by up to 80%. Using Polyimide Film, the non-corrosive FPC and flattened pure copper ribbon as a circuit board will reduce heat

by 30%, as well as improving LED brightness by 40% compared to similar products on the market.

DEPARTMENT OF LED RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Founded in early 2003, the Department of LED Research and Development (LED R&D Department) now has over 200 engineers and technicians with high levels of collegian degrees in electronics, optics, software, hardware, mechanical structure, and other related subjects. Neo-Neon LED R&D has one of the most advanced Photoelectricity Laboratory in the world, independent electrical function testing lab and continues to invest in the most state-of-the-art equipment. In less than two years, the LED R&D department has developed over 100 products of which include many innovations and patented products. We are confident that we are ready to take on any challenge in the LED field with any new LED technology that will be developed in the future.

Neo-Neon’s Photoelectricity Laboratory is among the most advanced photoelectricity labs in the world. Founded with the cooperation of the Electrical Lighting Source Institution of Fu Dan University, P.R.C. Neo-Neon is armed with the world’s most advanced equipment and technology, such as CCD spectrum analyzing system, rotary photometer, adjustable constant current source, state-of-the-art AC/DC power meters and highly steady power frequency adjustable supply system. The lab has a 96 M2 dark room in which illumination of less than 0.01Lux is achieved. The diameter of the integrated sphere for measuring large lighting product is 1.5m and an additional 0.3M testing sphere for single lighting devices is available. All the data collected is input into industrial PC’s to be analyzed, stored or printed.

The spectrum analysis system measures luminosity, chromatic coordinates (x,y or u,v), CRI value, peak wavelength, dominant wavelength, color temperature and saturation. Rotary photometers measure the light distribution of the light device. Other electronic equipment tests the conversion efficiency of electricity to light for all types of light emitting devices.

To ensure stability and calibration of our laboratory, Neo-Neon has engaged a staff of senior engineers and doctors majoring in photoelectricity. Neo-Neon has established a long-term cooperative relationship with professors and doctors of Photoelectricity who are fellows of Fu Dan University.

Neo-Neon utilizes this laboratory to measure our lighting devices from the R&D to the production phase to ensure the best and most consistent quality of luminosity and effect. The benefits of investments into the laboratory, its staff, advisors and equipment has been key in customer satisfaction resulting in capturing a large market share with our Ultra-Bright LEDs. The Neo-Neon Photoelectricity laboratory will be of benefit to our newest series of products that include the Commercial WLED (white LED), warm white, and ultra warm white technology as well as our Vision Series products.

In early 2000, Neo-Neon, invested in the research and development of a revolutionary product called LED Neon Flex. Utilizing advanced LED technology and new material processing techniques, LED Neon Flex compares visually to traditional glass neon without giving off any hot spots. LED Neon Flex is flexible and not ridged and easily breakable like traditional glass neon tubing. LED Neon Flex can be cut with standard tools and bent and formed by hand. Neo-Neon’s LED Neon Flex is manufactured by a fully-automated process. No plating. No corrosion. Does not produce harmful ultraviolet or infra-red. It does not contain mercury and/or other harmful substances. Does not use chemicals in production. Conserves water resources, offers significant energy saving and is environmentally friendly. Neo-Neon is compliance with ROHS standards.

Heat Radiation

Traditional LED Neon Flex uses a thin copper foil to conduct heat, the radiation area is relatively small, with low thermal efficiency, and may allow the light to overheat causing light decay, which may affect longevity. Neo-Neon’s LED Neon Flex uses a continuous ribbon of flattened pure copper to enhance thermal conductivity. This method reduces overheating from traditional production by up to 35%.

Durability

Traditional DIP LEDs uses a thin copper foil and a fine conductive copper wire that bends and stretches and is prone to failure. Neo-Neon’s new SMD lamps offers a new stable circuit technologies and has upgraded the SMD structure so that the body becomes more durable and reliable even during bending and stretching.

Brightness and Quality

Neo-Neon’s new LED Neon Flex uses advanced large-size SMD LEDs. The light source is 30% brighter than similar products on the market. SMD LEDs are mounted on a circuit board bonded with Polyimide Film, rated one of the best insulating material available. Polyimide Film can endure long durations in temperatures ranging between -270˚C and 280˚C. New automated production methods and new technology ensured our products have good environmental adaptability, greatly increasing light strength and product longevity.

Color Uniformity

Neo-Neon’s new LED Neon Flex has a reasonable distribution of bulbs on the flexible circuit board surface. The new LED Neon Flex will have higher brightness with even light distribution than what is currently on the market.

Versatility

Neo-Neon’s LED Tape Light is manufactured by a fully-automated process. No plating. No corrosion. Does not produce harmful ultraviolet or infra-red. It does not contain mercury and/or other harmful substances. Does not use chemicals in production. Conserves water resources, offers significant energy saving and is environmentally friendly. Neo-Neon is compliance with ROHS standards.

Heat Radiation

Traditional LED Tape Light uses a thin copper foil to conduct heat, the radiation area is relatively small, with low thermal efficiency, and may allow the light to overheat causing light decay, which may affect longevity. Neo-Neon’s LED Tape Light uses a continuous ribbon of flattened pure copper to enhance thermal conductivity. This method reduces overheating from traditional production by up to 35%.

Durability



Neo-Neon’s new LED Tape Light uses advanced large-size SMD LEDs. The light source is 30% brighter than similar products on the market. SMD LEDs are mounted on a circuit board bonded with Polyimide Film, rated one of the best insulating material available. Polyimide Film can endure long durations in temperatures ranging between -270˚C and 280˚C. New automated production methods and new technology ensured our products have good environmental adaptability, greatly increasing light strength and product longevity.

Color Uniformity

Neo-Neon’s new LED Tape Light has a reasonable distribution of bulbs on the flexible circuit board surface. The new LED Tape Light will have higher brightness with even light distribution than what is currently on the market.

Versatility

Neo-Neon’s new LED Tape Light can be cut in different lengths according to the need. It is very easy to install without professional help, and can be connected up to 100 meters in length with simple accessories. It can be bent into any pattern or shape.

Heat Radiation

Traditional LED Tape Light String uses a thin copper foil to conduct heat, the radiation area is relatively small, with low thermal efficiency, and may allow the light to overheat causing light decay, which may affect longevity. Neo-Neon’s LED Tape Light String uses a continuous ribbon of flattened pure copper to enhance thermal conductivity. This method reduces overheating from traditional production by up to 35%.

Durability



Neo-Neon’s new LED Tape Light String uses advanced large-size SMD LEDs. The light source is 30% brighter than similar products on the market. SMD LEDs are mounted on a circuit board bonded with Polyimide Film, rated one of the best insulating material available. Polyimide Film can endure long durations in temperatures ranging between -270˚C and 280˚C. New automated production methods and new technology ensured our products have good environmental adaptability, greatly increasing light strength and product longevity.

Color Uniformity

Neo-Neon’s new LED Tape Light String has a reasonable distribution of bulbs on the flexible circuit board surface. The new LED Tape Light String will have higher brightness with even light distribution than what is currently on the market.

Versatility

Neo-Neon’s new LED Tape Light String can be cut in different lengths according to the need. It is very easy to install without professional help, and can be connected up to 100 meters in length with simple accessories. It can be bent into any pattern or shape.

Neo-Neon’s LED Duralight is manufactured by a fully-automated process. No plating. No corrosion. Does not produce harmful ultraviolet or infra-red. It does not contain mercury and/or other harmful substances. Does not use chemicals in production. Conserves water resources, offers significant energy saving and is environmentally friendly. Neo-Neon is compliance with ROHS standards.

Heat Radiation

Traditional LED Duralight uses a thin copper foil to conduct heat, the radiation area is relatively small, with low thermal efficiency, and may allow the light to overheat causing light decay, which may affect longevity. Neo-Neon’s LED Duralight uses a continuous ribbon of flattened pure copper to enhance thermal conductivity. This method reduces overheating from traditional production by up to 35%.

Durability



Neo-Neon’s new LED Duralight uses advanced large-size SMD LEDs. The light source is 30% brighter than similar products on the market. SMD LEDs are mounted on a circuit board bonded with Polyimide Film, rated one of the best insulating material available. Polyimide Film can endure long durations in temperatures ranging between -270˚C and 280˚C. New automated production methods and new technology ensured our products have good environmental adaptability, greatly increasing light strength and product longevity.

Color Uniformity

Neo-Neon’s new LED Duralight has a reasonable distribution of bulbs on the flexible circuit board surface. The new LED Duralight will have higher brightness with even light distribution than what is currently on the market.

Versatility

Neo-Neon’s new LED Duralight can be cut in different lengths according to the need. It is very easy to install without professional help, and can be connected up to 100 meters in length with simple accessories. It can be bent into any pattern or shape.
