AN OUTDOORS CONCERT FEATURING JIMI HENDRIX @ WOODSTOCK

AS A MATTER OF FACT

Hello again class, we have completed all learning modules. By now, you should have a better understanding on how to listen to music perceptively. We have covered the most important elements of music, and we have covered some of the most important composers in the history of music.

AS YOU GET READY TO LEAVE Nevertheless, we have saved our final project for module 8. Module 8 is not a learning module but a project module. It is important for you to apply the knowledge you have gained this semester. The expectation is that you have sharpened your listening skills as you ventured into the world of classical music.

YEAH!!!

However, this final project is not about classical music. It is about Rock 'n Roll. The featured artist this time is one of my all time favorite performers: Jimi Hendrix.

HERE IS THE TASK AT HAND

In designing the Virtual Music Conservatory, we thought that the journey comes back home by visiting a musical world that you are most familiar with. This is what we would like for you to do: (Turn to the next page.)

REPORT CRITERIA PART ONE

Learn about the life and genius of Jimi Hendrix.

- Learn on how Woodstock's 1969 music festival really changed the musical world.

- Listen to Jimi's Woodstock performance in the outdoor concert area located within Module 8.

- Use all the knowledge gained in the class and produce a written report that you must submit in http://www.turnitin.com.

- Your report must have no less than 500 words and it must be 100% and completely original.

REPORT CRITERIA PART TWO

Please DO NOT quote anyone. I am only interested in what you have learned about music. You are much more knowledgeable about music today than the day before you took this class.

- Use the terminology learned during class.

- Please don't delay in submitting your report. Remember that I need to read and grade all these reports and immediately submit your grades since we have reached the end of the semester.
