Basics of Mosaic ArtAn eye for detail, patience, and a neat hand are helpful in this medium. After covering the ‘basics’ of glass and tile manipulation, composition, different andamento styles, and setting techniques, each student will create a mosaic on either a two-dimensional surface or a sculptural piece (guitar, ceramic element, flower pot, etc.). The final product will be grouted, cleaned, and ready for use or display, and then the student should feel confident enough to tackle a project of a larger scope. No prior experience necessary. Students must supply their own glass and purchase their own tools. Machines and some tools will be available for student use. Supply list will be provided at the first class.(MATERIAL FEE OF $40 PAYABLE TO INSTRUCTOR AT THE FIRST CLASS MEETING)
