Lean Innovation

Prior to working for Ingersoll Rand, he had more than ten years of management experiece in a big Chinese state-owned company. In Jun 1997, William joined Ingersoll Rand as manager of marketing department of Shanghai Ingersoll Rand Compressor Co., Ltd. Later he acted as business director of Shanghai Ingersoll Rand Co., Ltd., General Manager of Ingersoll Rand Machinery Shanghai Co., Ltd., and General Manager of Aftermarket Business Air Solutions China. What’s more, He used to act as the product manager in Ingersoll Rand Davidson Headquarter for 18 months and then worked in Singapore acting as aftermarket director of Ingersoll Rand Industrial Technology Asia Pacific. Those cross culture working experience help William to accumulate rich experience in strategic planning, product development, operating management, and marketing.

Since 2006, W i l l iam successfu l ly int roduced and implemented Lean Six Sigma in the sales, marketing and service areas. He championed the LSS deployment and developed continuous improving corporate culture in Asia Pacific business successfully. Also he showed his ability to master the LSS tools and methodology, and gain the LSS Green Belt and Black Belt certification with significant achievements.

Since 2007, William started to do research work on customer-centric innovation, building hands-on innovation tools and the 10 types of innovation.

William is a major speaker of Ingersoll Rand University. Besides, William was invited as key speaker for several international summit and College Forums. He has published 3 books on Lean & Six Sigma, Innovation, etc.

William Yu is Vice President Asia Pacific of Thermo King, Ingersoll Rand. Visiting Professor, Lean Six Sigma and Innovation, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. As a well known expert in practical enterprise management , Mr. W i l l i am Yu enjoys over 20 years experience in innovation, lean and six sigma, operations, marketing, etc.
