Jack and Carol Weber are members of the faculty of the Darden GraduateSchool of Business Administration at theUniversity of Virginia where they teachexecutive leadership and strategicchange management. They are coarchi-tects of numerous innovative residentialexecutive development programs,including Creating the Future: TheChallenge of Transformational Leadership;Leadership for Extraordinary Performance;and Leading Strategic Change.

Jack Weber’s other academic creditsinclude posts at the Amos Tuck Schoolof Business Administration at Dart-mouth College and the InternationalManagement Development Institute(IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland, wherehe served as Visiting Professor ofBusiness Administration. While at IMD,Weber authored a book on Europeanexecutives, General Managers in Action,and produced a companion series ofcolor videotapes and case studies onoutstanding executives. Jack is alsocoauthor of Managerial Literacy: WhatToday’s Managers Must Know to Succeed(Dow Jones-Irwin, 1990). Prior to hiscurrent career in education and manage-ment consulting, he held professionalpositions with RCA and IBM. He waseducated at Yale, Miami, and theUniversity of California where hereceived the Doctor of Philosophydegree in Business Administration andOrganizational Behavior.

Carol Weber also lectured and con-ducted executive development seminarsat the International ManagementDevelopment Institute (IMD) inLausanne, and worked with anothermanagement consulting firm beforeassuming her current positions. She waseducated at the State University of NewYork where she received her BA degree(cum laude) in Social Science and theUniversity of Virginia where shereceived her Masters and Doctor ofPhilosophy degrees in EducationalPsychology with an emphasis on organi-zational behavior.

Carol and Jack are members of variousprofessional associations including theAcademy of Management. As consult-ants, their clients have included dozensof multinational companies in banking

and financial services, chemicals andpackaging, computing and telecommuni-cations, consumer and food products,technology and transportation, andother industries in the Americas, Europe,and the Pacific Rim.

Registration: Registration may be com-pleted by phone, Web site, mail, or fax.Confirmation of acceptance will be sentupon receipt of registration form.

Accommodations: Sponsors ExecutiveResidence Center provides private,single-room lodging for program participants. Executives will take mealsat the Abbott Center or at a localrestaurant. At times it may be necessaryto house participants offsite at nearbyhotels.

Fee: $6,950 per person. The fee includestuition, course materials, lodging, meals,and certificate of participation. Weaccept payment by check, AmericanExpress, MasterCard, and Visa. Paymentmay accompany registration or will bedue upon receipt of invoice.

Special Offer: Companies that send morethan one participant to a single programoffering will receive 10% off the full feefor any additional participants. Foradded value within your organization,group participation is encouraged.

Multiple fee reductions cannot be com-bined for one participant; Darden willgladly accept the greater reduction in price.

Group Registration: Photocopy registrationfor each participant, check the GroupRegistration box on each form, andmail/fax all forms together.

Cancellation/Transfer Policy:• Due to program demand and the

volume of preprogram preparation,cancellations made within 30 calendardays of a program’s starting date willincur a 50% administrative fee.

• All transfers made within 30 calendardays of a program’s starting date willincur a $500 administrative fee; onlyone transfer per program is allowed foreach participant.

• A transfer request followed by a cancellation will incur a 50% administrative fee.

Cancellation/transfer notices must bereceived via email or in writing.

Certificate in Management

The Darden Graduate School ofBusiness Administration recognizes and encourages lifelong learning byawarding participants in executive edu-cation programs with the Certificate inManagement.
