LAW AND CRIMINOLOGY TRIP TO LONDON LAW AND CRIMINOLOGY STUDENTS VISIT THE CAPITAL TO DEEPEN THEIR LAW AND CRIMINOLOGY KNOWLEDGE A group of Law and Criminology students recently spent three non-stop days in London as part of their studies. After travelling down by train on the Wednesday morning, they were given an educational tour around the Houses of Parliament, where the tour guide shared lots of interesting facts about the building and explained how everything functioned. Following a quick pitstop back at the hotel, students were off on a Jack the Ripper Tour to find out more about London in Victorian times and particularly the types of crime taking place back then. The following day, students were able to sit in on real-life cases in the Royal Courts of Justice and the Old Bailey, including a murder case and an appeal against sentencing for child abuse, which students found very interesting and at times shocking. That evening, students went into the West End to eat out together before seeing a Broadway show, Aladdin, as part of the trip. Before returning home on the final day, the group was given the freedom to explore London and see the sights! Students enjoyed shopping on Oxford Street and visiting tourist attractions including the Tower Bridge, the London Eye and Buckingham Palace. All in all the visit was a huge hit with students commenting that “the whole trip was amazing and really educational” and that they had had “an amazing experience and we would definitely do it all over again”. The London trip has become a very popular visit for our Law and Criminology students, often taking place twice a year to cope with the demand from students.

LAW AND CRIMINOLOGY STUDENTS VISIT

THE CAPITAL TO DEEPEN THEIR LAW AND

CRIMINOLOGY KNOWLEDGE

A group of Law and Criminology students recently spent three non-stop days in London as part of their studies.
