Benefits

Visualization, implementation of technical data and results in 3D or 4DNo matter the space-time data come from simulation results or data acquired through tests or constructions data, we offer tailored software solutions for an efficient visualization quality focused on the real needs of our client.

One of the challenges relating to our activity is to have the highest possible technical understanding of the data to be ran and enhanced. Several meetings are usually necessary with regular users or producers of this kind of data to validate comprehensive understanding.

Once this preliminary work has been achieved, the further steps for us to build the softwareare as follows :

• Analysis of the type of data and data receipt issues.

• Development of data reading and processing gateways.

• Designing of data visualization technology.

• Development of the software and its interface.

• Tool validation process through various data sets testing.

Please see below some concrete assignments samples for which we developed software solutions :

• Display in a CAVE (cave automatic virtual environment) of analysis results from CAE (computer-aided engineering) software such as airflow or melting metal.

• 3D visualization of photometric data and linear interpolation results for the purpose of obtaining a continuous range of configuration.

• Photorealistic 3D visualization of a product’s illustrated graphic by means of loading graphic designer’s performance.

• Wall screen projection of real time processed geolocated data.

CAD data ValorisationThe importance of 3D visualization and related technologies for industrial companies during the product conception stage becomes increasing. The direct or indirect use of data produced at the conception stage, i.e. during the designing stage (CAD data essentially), enables to drastically reduce costs relating to implementation and ensure an exact reproduction of the product.

Our extensive expertise regarding CAD data processing, i.e. more than 100 companies submit us from time to time or regularly their CAD data, which enables us to respond to all kind of requests, either by choosing the most suitable tool or by developing such tool by ourselves.

Such amount of transfer of data, which are often confidential and strategic for our clients, led us to set up methods that ensure specific security systems and a high level of confidentiality.

The following scheme sets out the implementation process of such data and the various types of use that can be made from them.

Data implementation process

Modular productsThe 3D real time interactive software enables visualization of the exact configuration expected by the client. Such software can be used either by the seller or by the client at the counsulting and planning stage in order to build up and put together the modules needed in an interactive way and in 3D.

Modifications can be implemented at any time (change of color, removal or addition of modules, change in their size, and so on). Thus, the client can realize through a virtual tour, supported by visual information on technical features, what the assembled and finished product would look like.

This is the fundamental of software visualization of modular products. Additional functions can be proposed depending on the context and the requests such as :

• Visualization of a product (in the case of machines) while it is running.

• Location configurator (for substantial size equipment) enabling the client to place any equipment in the most appropriate place in order to prevent a potential lack of space.

• Export of a file (pdf) that could contain the prices of each element, a picture of the assembled product or any other relevant information.

• Export of pictures or videos of the product with these modules.

• Real time updates based on the choice and the graphic presentation of important data (production rate, energy consumption, security perimeter, position of machine operators).

“Certain modular products can be difficult to present and it is not always easy to explain to clients the location of each element as well as their functioning.”

TrainingThe most appropriate support to the industrial world would be a software that includes pedagogy, information and training. The simplified distribution and update based on a digital media, the use with or without a trainer thanks to interactivity and the exact visualization of the context through the use of 3D technology are the main advantages for training tool efficiency.

The use of CAD data enables the creation of simulations for training purposes that faithfully reproduce the work environment and the functionality of the various machines. It enables to create test contexts corresponding to the reality of the production, but without taking the risk to incorrectly handle a real machine.

Visual simulationA systematic and thorough design study enables increasing the value of the product, improving its ergonomic performance, adapting its use and it positively influences the image of the company.

We offer solutions to simulate this design and, if needed, to transform it until the expected visual rendering is agreed.

Whether in the form of highly realistic pictures or videos or in the form of software enabling material adaptation, colors and shapes with real time rendering, we cover the whole range of visual simulations tools that can be realized in connection with a product.

Some additional key points :

• A global vision of the working environment or the products. Thanks to real time 3D navigation, the user can explore the studied elements down to the last details and from any possible angles.

• A simplified quantification of obtained results. No matter the test has been performed in a Q&A form or in a virtual reality environment, interactivity allows obtaining a highly detailed and precise report of the user’s results.

HardwareOur products and services are closely linked to the display supports on which they are used. Our independence vis-à-vis the equipment manufacturers and distributors and our expertise in a variety of different supports enable us to offer the most accurate and efficient advices relating to hardware selection.

We have developed solutions for various hardware environments, including those listed below :

• CAVE (automatic virtual environment)• HMD (Head mounted display)• Smartphone• Tablet

• Stereoscopic screen (3D vision with glasses)• Autostereoscopy (3D vision without glasses)• Touch screen• Screen wall

ConsultingWe aim to be a 3D technology centre of expertise. In this respect, we have explored a multitude of scope of applications and different approaches.

Our expertise enables us toprovide the best advices to our clients seeking a return on investment in their choice of technique to be used and in the acquisition of technology necessary for their development using 3D digital representation.

MethodologyIn principle, the projects are split in two different stages.

• Brainstorming, in order to understand our clients’ needs and their technical requirements to be implemented.

• Proposal for a design as regards a specific product and/or prototype in order to solve any potential issues.

• Starting development with regular exchanges on work-in-progress status.

• Depending on the project, delivery of «beta» versions dedicated to test phases.

• Implementation in the client’s environment.

• At any stage, new functionalities may come out. This is the beginning of a new whole circle leading to a new version of the product.
