The Large Scale Project - Composites connects and utilises the High Value Manufacturing Catapult centre competencies to develop structural composites solutions for the automotive and other industries.

Industry benefits include:

y Supports the Automotive Council agenda for lightweight structures

y Underpinned by over £2M of cumulative HVM Catapult investment

Managed by the National Composites Centre, the project combines the composites knowledge of four HVM Catapult centres in the fields of weaving, stitching & tufting, joining, factory automation, testing, design & simulation, permeability measurement, resin transfer moulding and stamping, to maximise the benefits to industry.

Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC)The MTC focusses on delivering manufacturing system solutions that combine our wide range of capabilities covering Digital Engineering (Design, Process Simulation, Factory Simulation, Automation, Informatics, and Measurement), Component Manufacturing Technologies and Assembly Technologies.

National Composites Centre (NCC) The NCC is powering composites opportunities with capabilities in: Design, Analysis and Simulation of Advanced Composites Applications; Product and Process Development/Optimisation; Prototyping; Manufacturing, inspection/testing/validation, Knowledge Transfer, Training and Specialised Workshops.
