HOLIDAY GRADE

1st Week - In Lanzarote we operate both Grade 4 & 6.

2nd Week - In Tenerife we only operate Grade 6.

Whilst on a Grade 4 walk these can be full or half day walks at a moderate pace over hilly terrain and is likely to include anelement of sightseeing as well. Half day walking will probably include about 3 hours of walking, with full days having around 5hours. Expect ascents and descents of up to about 600m.

Our Grade 6 walks are full days with appreciable amounts of ascent and descent with walks in some remote areas. Paths aremostly good, but there may be some steep and rough ground. Walks will last up to 6 hours and could involve as much as 750mof ascent and descent.

Please see our Proposed Itinerary below for more walk examples.

Our bottom line is happy travellers, and to that end we trust our tour leaders to use the itinerary below as a basis for providingyou with a great holiday. We expect our leaders to make adjustments to the itinerary if the weather, group ability or other localconditions make that necessary. There are normally more options available to our leaders than those listed below and one ormore of these options may well be chosen. All distances, heights & timings are approximate.

Goodbye Tenerife

It has come time to bid the Canary Islands farewell as we head to the airport for our onward ight home.

WALKS & EXCURSIONS

Each day we will walk between 4 and 6 hours with cumulative daily ascents and descents in the range of 300m to 1,000m.The paths we take can be rough and steep at times but will be taken at a pace appropriate to the grade of the holiday. A goodhead for heights will be needed for some of the high walks.

Two Grades, Two Leaders, Two WalksOn ‘2x Walks, 2x Leaders, 2x Grades’ departures, where we provide two tour leaders and offer a choice of easier or harderwalks each day, we hope to be able to accommodate your choice of walk. However safety considerations do govern the sizesof groups in each walking grade; the minimum number of participants for a guided walk at a given grade and the maximumgroup size will be as indicated for the walk grade.

On most departures we are able to accommodate most clients' rst choice of walk most of the time, however some exibilityand co-operation may be required. In unusual circumstances where a disproportionately high number of clients wish to walk atone grade, for safety reasons, we may not be able to provide you with your choice of walk each day. Although we willendeavour to accommodate as many clients’ choices as possible, it may be necessary for you to switch between higher andlower grade walks during the holiday. Any decision regarding group sizes and the participants in the day’s walking programmerests with our tour leader(s).

For safety reasons the minimum number of participants on a walk will be 4 plus the leader.

Local Transport CostsAll local transport costs in conjunction with the advertised activity programme are included in the holiday cost. There may beoccasions where additional visits or excursions are added to enrich your experience, these will be paid for locally by you if youchoose to participate. Local transport can be a mix of private hire coaches, taxis, local buses and ferries depending on theitinerary.

Optional ExcursionsA range of local excursions and activities may be available to book at your destination through a local operator. We have noinvolvement in such activities or excursions which are not run, supervised or controlled in any way by us. Your contract will bewith the local activity supplier and we accept no responsibility for their actions or omissions.
