LANGUAGE ARTS Focus : Language Arts Theme : Look at Me Time : 60 minutes Learning Standard: 4.1.1 : Able to enjoy nursery rhymes, jazz chants and actions song through non-verbal response. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils are able to: - Listen to, say aloud and sing song with action. - Fill in 8 blanks in the worksheet. Objectives for LINUS: By the end of the lesson, pupils are able to: - Listen to the song and do the actions correctly. - Choose and match 5 actions correctly. Success criteria: - Pupils will be successful if they can listen to and sing song with action. - Fill in the blanks with the correct word. Focus words: - Skip, Hop, Jump, Run, Kick, Slap, Stamp, Walk Activities: 1. Starter - Teacher shows the lyrics to pupils. - Teacher asks questions about all the actions pupils can do. 2. Main activities - Teacher demonstrates the actions to pupils. - Pupils watch the video clip and sing along with actions. - Teacher shows a picture. - Teacher drills pupils on the focus words. - Teacher divides pupils into groups. - Pupils create bubble map and paste the pictures. - Teacher provides worksheets. 3. Closure - Pupils sing the song again in their groups. - Substitute with other actions. Ex: jump, run, and walk Teaching aids - Power point presentation, worksheets, manila cards, pictures CCE
