Cheil Worldwide and Samsung launch new mobile application that donates the processor power of your smartphone to support researchers all around the world. This application runs in background only when the user is asleep. The cycles are used to calculate the data that is less than 1 MB. The data is then assembled at the University of Vienna which is then converted into an open-source protein-calculation database that can be easily used for cure of diseases like Alzheimer’s.

OTP คืออะไร

One Time Password หรือ OTP หากจะแปลแบบตรงตัวก็คือรหัสผ่าน

ที่ใชเ้พยีงครัง้เดยีว หรอืรหสัที่ใชใ้นการเขา้สูร่ะบบตอ่การใชง้านหนึง่ครัง้

หลังจากรหัสถูกใช้งานแล้วจะไม่สามารถนำามาใช้ได้อีก ต่างจากการใช้

รหัสผ่านเพื่อเข้าสู่ระบบปกติทั่วไป เช่น การเข้าใช้งานเฟสบุ๊ค หรือเข้า

สูโ่ปรแกรมแชทอยา่งไลน ์เหลา่นีจ้ะมกีารตัง้รหสัผา่น และใชร้หสันัน้เพือ่

เข้าสู่ระบบในทุกๆ ครั้งที่ต้องการใช้งาน

What is OTP?

A one-time password (OTP) is a password that is valid for only one

login session or transaction. Once the password is used, it will be

no longer valid. This is different from static password that you use

to login to other system (such as Facebook or Line Chat) which

the same password will be used every time you log in.

Why OTP?

Statistic password is vulnerable to attack (peeking or use Trojan

software to get the password) and may cause trouble to the real

users. Level of damages depends on what the system is for. If your

Facebook password is hacked, then the intruder can use yours and

abuse it. But if the password to Internet banking is stolen, then you

may lose all of your money. Therefore, for the service that requires

higher security level, the OTP is implemented to enhance the

system security and make users confident in the system.

OTP ทำางานอย่างไร

ระบบที่มีการใช้งาน OTP จะกำาหนดให้รหัสผ่านเข้าสู่ระบบใช้งานเพียง

ครั้งเดียวเท่านั้น ดังนั้น การแอบดูหรือการใช้โปรแกรมดักจับรหัสจึงไม่

สามารถนำารหสัที่ไดไ้ปทำาความเสยีหายได ้โดยรหสัที่ใชจ้ะเปน็การสง่จาก

ฝั่งของผู้ให้บริการไปยังผู้รับบริการผ่านระบบที่เชื่อถือได้ และมีการ

กำาหนดอายุของรหัสที่ส่งให้ว่าจะต้องใช้งานภายในเวลาเท่าไร เมื่อเลย

ระยะเวลาที่กำาหนด หรือมีการเข้าระบบหนึ่งครั้ง รหัสดังกล่าวก็จะไม่

สามารถใช้เข้าสู่ระบบในครั้งต่อไปได้ ผู้ใช้บริการจะต้องขอรหัสผ่านเพื่อ

เข้าสู่ระบบใหม่อีกครั้ง

OTP มีค่าใช้จ่ายหรือไม่

ค่าใช้จ่ายสำาหรับการใช้ระบบ OTP จะขึ้นอยู่กับระบบที่ใช้ส่งรหัสไปยังผู้

ใชบ้รกิาร ซึง่ระบบทีน่ยิมในปจัจบุนัคอืการสง่ SMS ไปยงัเครือ่งโทรศพัท์

ที่ได้ลงทะเบียนไว้ในตอนที่ขอใช้บริการ ค่าใช้จ่ายที่เกิดขึ้นจึงเป็นค่าส่ง

SMS ในแต่ละครั้ง ซึ่งโดยส่วนใหญ่ผู้ให้บริการจะเป็นผู้รับผิดชอบค่าใช้

จ่ายในส่วนนี้เอง

ข้อควรระวังในการใช้ OTP

เนื่องจากระบบ OTP ใช้การส่งรหัสแบบ SMS ไปยังโทรศัพท์มือถือ

จึงมีความปลอดภัยพอสมควร สิ่งที่ต้องระวังเพียงอย่างเดียวในตอนนี้ก็

คือ...ระวังอย่าไปลืมโทรศัพท์ไว้ที่ไหนนะครับ

How OTP works?

OTP system generates a password that will expire after being used

to log into a service- which means that a potential intruder who

manages to record an OTP will not be able to abuse it. The system

will be sent from the service provider to a reliable system.

The provider will also specify the time frame that the password can

be used- once it’s expired or being used to log on, then the system

cannot be used for the next access, the user will need to request

for a new password.

Will I be charged for the OTP?

Charge depends on the system that the provider uses to send

the password. The mostly used device is a mobile where users get

the OTP through the mobile phone number that is registered with

the providers. SMS is usually charged to the providers.

Point of attention when you use OTP

OTP will send an SMS to your mobile phone which is quite secure,

but don’t lose your mobile phone!

คงปฏิเสธไม่ได้ว่าขยะอิเล็กทรอนิกส์กำาลังจะกลายเป็นปัญหาที่สำาคัญอย่างยิ่งในอนาคต โดยกรม

โรงงานอุตสาหกรรมรายงานว่าในปี พ.ศ. 2556 ปริมาณขยะอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ภายในประเทศสูงกว่า

20 ล้านเครือ่ง และมีแนวโนม้เพิม่ขึน้รอ้ยละ 10 ต่อปี โดยเฉพาะโทรศัพทม์ือถือซึ่งครองอันดับหนึง่

โดยมีปริมาณขยะสูงถึง 9.2 ล้านเครื่อง

นอกจากการนำาไปทำาลายอยา่งถกูวธิแีลว้ อกีหนึง่หนทางในการลดขยะอเิลก็ทรอนกิส ์คอื Upcycling

หรือการแปลงสภาพของวัสดุที่ไม่ได้ใช้ประโยชน์แล้วให้เป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ใหม่ที่มีคุณภาพดีกว่าเดิม

และแนวคิดนี้เป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของโครงการ Twice Used ใน Kickstarter ซึ่งถึงแม้ว่าโครงการนี้จะไม่

ประสบความสำาเรจ็ในการระดมทนุกอ่ตัง้โครงการ แตก่เ็ปน็แนวคดิทีน่่าสนใจซึง่เราขอนำามาแชร์ให้

ทุกคนได้รู้จักกัน

ได้ชิ้นงานที่ดูสวยงามน่าใช้มากขึ้น ก็น่าจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อส่วนรวมและสิ่งแวดล้อมไม่น้อยทีเดียว

We need to be realistic about the fact that electronics waste will soon become a big

problems, Department of Industrial Works reported that there are more than 20 million

domestic electronics waste in 2013 and it tends to increase 10% every year. The most

electronic waste found is mobile phone- 9.2 Million.

Beside properly destroy; another way to reduce electric waste is to upcycling it. Upcycling

is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or

products of better quality or for better environmental value. This idea is from a new

Kickstarter project called Twice Use- the project was not very successful in fund raising but

it is an interesting idea that we would like to share to you.

The one who introduced the idea suggested that we can adapt broken smartphones and

turns them into home decor items such as a functioning clock, coffee table, beverage

coaster or unique picture frame. In my point of view, the design is quite normal which may

affect the sale volume. But if you are interested in this idea, you can create another design

and run project which is good for both society and environment.

ฉบับนี้เราขอชวนคุณผู้อ่านไปจิบชา ชมดอกไม้สวยๆ ท่ามกลางบรรยากาศที่เป็นธรรมชาติสุดๆ กับแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงเกษตรที่บอกได้คำาเดียวว่าห้ามพลาด เดี๋ยวเอาท์แล้วจะหาว่าเราไม่เตือนนะคะ...พร้อมแล้วไปกันเลยค่ะ

ตั้งแต่ย่างก้าวแรกที่ไปถึงที่ไร่บุญรอด หรือบุญรอดฟาร์ม (Boon Rawd Farm) ที่จังหวัดเชียงราย ขอบอกได้คำาเดียวว่าสวยงามจริงๆ โดยเฉพาะไร่ชากว้างใหญ่สุดลูกหูลูกตา โอบล้อมด้วยภูเขารอบทิศทาง ที่สำาคัญคืออากาศดีมากๆ เราได้สอบถามกับทางเจ้าหน้าที่ของไร่ว่าอากาศดีๆ แบบนี้ จะมีเฉพาะในช่วงหน้าหนาวหรือเปล่า เราก็ได้คำาตอบกลับมาว่าอากาศที่นี่ดีแบบนี้ตลอดทั้งปี เพียงแค่ในช่วงหน้าหนาวจะได้สัมผัสหมอกสีขาวนวลและอากาศหนาวได้มากกว่าเท่านั้นเอง แต่ถ้าเป็นเดือนอื่นๆ ในรอบปีก็จะได้สัมผัสความงามของธรรมชาติในอีกแบบ รับรองว่าจะไม่ผิดหวังเช่นกัน กับความงามบนความมหัศจรรย์ของธรรมชาติบ้านเรา

นอกจากไร่ชาแล้ว ในพื้นที่กว้างขวางมากกว่า 8,000 ไร่ ยังมีผลไม้หลากหลายชนิดที่รอให้เราชิม ไม่ว่าจะเป็นพุทราพันธุ์ซื่อหมี่ ที่ให้ผลขนาดใหญ่น้องๆ แอปเปิลเลยก็ว่าได้ค่ะ เรื่องรสชาติก็ขอรับประกันได้เลยว่าหวาน หอม อร่อย ถ้าได้ชิมรับรองติดใจแน่นอนค่ะ ซึ่งพุทราพันธุ์ซื่อหมี่จะออกผลมาให้เราได้ชิมกันในช่วงเดือนพฤษภาคมถึงกันยายน และที่ขึ้นชื่ออีกอย่างหนึ่งคือมะเฟือง มี 2 สายพันธุ์ คือ พันธุ์มาเลย์และพันธุ์สายนนำ้าผึ้ง ซึ่งพันธุ์สายนำ้าผึ้งจะให้ผลที่มีขนาดใหญ่กว่าพันธุ์มาเลย์ (ขนาดใหญ่กว่าฝ่ามือผู้ชายอีกนะคะ) แต่พันธุ์มาเลย์จะมีรสชาติหวานมากกว่า และทั้งสองสายพันธุ์จะออกผลสีเหลืองสุกเต็มต้นในช่วงเดือนธันวาคมถึงมกราคม

นอกจากนี้ผลิตผลทางการเกษตรของไร่บุญรอดข้างต้นนั้น ก็ยังมียางพารากว่า 2,700 ไร่ มัลเบอร์รี ราสเบอร์รี เมลอน ทุ่งข้าวบาร์เลย์ ข้าวโพด และพืชผักผลไม้อีกหลากหลายชนิดมาให้ทุกท่านได้เยี่ยมชมและชิมกันค่ะ

สำาหรับสาวๆ และหนุ่มๆ ที่ชอบการถ่ายภาพ พลาดไม่ได้เลยกับพรรณไม้ดอกสวยงามนานาชนิด โดยเฉพาะ “ทุ่งดอกปอเทือง” สีเหลืองทอง บานสะพรั่งในช่วงต้นเดือนธันวาคม ถึงแม้ว่าเดือนนี้จะเป็นเดือนมีนาคม แต่รับรองได้เลยว่าบรรยากาศก็สวยไม่แพ้กันอย่างแน่นอน

หลังจากพาทุกท่านตะลุยชมบรรยากาศในไร่กันเต็มที่แล้ว หลายท่านคงหิวกันแล้วใช่ไหมคะ เราจึงขอปิดท้ายทริปนี้ด้วยอาหารมื้อพิเศษที่ “ร้านภูภิรมย์” แต่ละเมนูหน้าตาน่ารับประทานมากๆ เพราะที่ร้านเน้นเรื่องการคัดสรรคุณภาพของวัตถุดิบและความปลอดภัย ที่สำาคัญบอกได้เลยทุกจานว่าปลอดสารพิษอย่างแน่นอน ผักสดจากไร่บุญรอดส่งตรงถึงครัวทุกวัน เมนูแนะนำาของที่ร้านที่ติดดาวให้เลยก็คือ ยำาทูน่าใบชาสด ยำารสจัดคลุกเคล้าด้วยใบชาปลอดสารพิษเก็บสดๆ จากไร่ และขาหมูเยอรมันทอดรสชาติกลมกล่อม

Let’s take a cup of tea while enjoying the magnificent view of flowers at agrotourism location that must not be missed… let’s go!

Stepping into Boon Rawd Farm Chiang Rai, we were amazed by the magnificent scenery, especially the endless view of the tea field, surrounded by mountains. The air was so clean and fresh. We asked the staff there whether it was this good during other periods of the year and he told us that we could always enjoy the fresh air here. It would be colder and misty in winter, though. If visiting in other time of the year, you can still enjoy the beauty of the nature here. You will not be disappointed.

Besides tea field, in the more-than-8,000-rai area, you can try different kinds of fruit such as ‘Fresh Milk’ Jujubes that are almost as big as an apple in size- and they taste really good! Fresh Milk jujubes are ripened from May to September. The farm is also well-known for its ‘Star Fruit’ – there are 2 types of star fruit here, Malaysian Jujube and Honey Jar. Honey Jar jujubes are bigger (even bigger than a man’s hand) but the Malaysian jujubes are sweeter. Both Malaysian and Honey Jars jujubes are ripened from December to January.

In their 2,700 rai area, Boon Rawd Farm also grows rubber tree, mulberry, raspberry, melon, barley corn and other plants that you can visit and taste. If you love taking photos, you can’t miss the beautiful Por-Tuang (Crotalaria Juncea) field that will bloom in early December. However, you can have the wonderful experience here all year round.

After visiting the farm, let’s stop at Phu Phirom restaurant where you can enjoy a variety range of food. Raw materials are fresh and sent from Boon Rawd Farm, so you can reassure that they are clean and toxic-free. Don’t miss the recommended menu, Tuna Spicy Salad with Fresh Tea Leaves- which is the spicy salad, mixed with organic tea leaves from the farm. Another recommended menu is the delicious pork hock dish.

Besides the food, the restaurant is also well-known for its panoramic view. From the balcony, you can see the spectacular view of the Boon Rawd Farm, surrounded by mountain. This will be a memorable trip that you will always be impressed.
