M&H (serving in East Asia; 504 Cherees Way;
Dalton, GA 30720): Although this month has had
its fair share of grey, polluted days, our hearts have
been encouraged as we have shared the Father's
light. A few weeks ago, a national partner invited
us to an "English fell0wship" on her campus. We
weren't really sure what we were getting into. After
a bus, two taxis, and getting lost, we finally made it to the meeting with
a frustrated and anxious attitude. As we shared the truth, great
discussion ensued filled with helpful questions and personal testimony.
Our expectations were shattered as G)d was clearly working among us.
We were thrilled when a student expressed belief in the message. We
look forward to meeting with this new bel1ever and this group of
students in the coming weeks. Requests: Because our downstairs
neighbor is sensitive to noise, we will move our s3eker study to a new
location. Please ask that students will still come to the study and that
our relationship with our neighbor will improve. With only nine
months left here in East Asia, we are beginning to think more about our
life back in the states. Please pr@y with us as we seek G)d's guidance
for s3m1nary, jobs, and where to live. Praises: Earlier this month we
went to the government offices and had no problems renewing our
residency permits. We are thankful for the open doors and
opportunities we have had to share with over 30 students this month.
We are humbled that one of these students responded in f@ith. We are
looking forward to receiving a short term team during December and
are expectant for the ways G)d will us them in our city.
BJabc (serving in Northern Africa; 4551 Old Dalton Rd NE; Rome,
GA 30165): Thank you for lifting us up
regularly, your prayers are felt and very
necessary. Groups/partners - Asking
for our new groups to be fruitful, teach
others and understand multiplication.
Our existing groups have done really
well spreading the Truth and creating
other groups. Also, a new partnership
has developed with fellow believers,
help us to have wisdom in how to move forward. HG - We are looking
forward to meeting with a new group this weekend. Thank you for
asking the Father to give us a tight community to worship together.
Company - We continue to see and experience changes within our
company. Next phase will include people voluntarily leaving the field.
Please ask the Father to make it clear where people should serve.
Family - Last week our children recovered from a virus going through
the house, each day a different child was home. They are all well and
in school this week. J took a language assessment yesterday, we are
hopeful she will have good results. Also, with stateside on the horizon,
please ask that our minds and hearts will be fully here until we get
there.
Janna Plemons (working at Orphanage
Emmanuel in Guaimaca, Honduras, August 8-
January 2): Last week was a really hard week,
but this week is going a lot better. Pray for me,
especially during the month of December, as I
am missing home a lot since the holidays are
coming up. A praise for this week is that there are a lot of opportunities
for me to show the kids love. I’m trying to teach the kids that to get
love is to not just receive gifts, like most teams or volunteers do here.
So I’m coming up with a lot of activities to do with the kids instead of
them watching movies all day or just playing in the yard. Pray that the
kids will be receptive to this idea and that it will portray the idea of
love that I want to get across.
David, Kellie Crowe & Family (church planters w/ Greene
Community Church in Waynesburg; 417
Craig Run Road; Waynesburg, PA
15370): We have two community
outreach opportunities in the next couple
of weeks, two events the town asked to
help with each year. We are also in the
process of dividing our administrative
position into two positions -- which
means we will be needing to hire someone
to fill one of those, prayerful by first of week or so of January. We
also need to approve 2016 calendar and budget in the next few weeks,
pray that we will walk by faith and not by sight. Michelle Parham (answered the call to vocational ministry; 1812
Glenbrook Place; Dalton, GA 30720): DNOW
was a great time! Thank you for praying. Please
continue to pray for the students, that they will
continue to grow and be challenged! The
semester is shortly coming to an end, and I am
thankful for that, haha! Please pray that I will
not lose motivation in my studies! Please pray
that I will make Christ and time in the Word my
top priority. Please pray that I will be a voice of truth on my campus
and everywhere I go. Also pray that I will be content in Christ in every
moment! I love y'all!! Troy Poe (answered the call to vocational ministry; 556 Harvest
Way; Dalton, GA 30721): Thank you for the
prayers and encouragements! This past weekend
I had a great time helping lead DNow! It was
awesome to see God moving in the students’
lives, and it appeared He brought them closer to
Him and closer together. Please pray for the lives
that were changed and the decisions that were
made for Jesus. Also pray for the students as they
go out into the world and face the many struggles
of life. Please pray for me as school is winding down, and that I will
complete everything that needs to be completed well. Thomas, Paige, Elizabeth & Jacob Queen (our missionaries
in South Africa; Suite H17, P/Bag X9118;
Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, 3200): We’ve been in meetings from 10am-
9:40pm so we are tired. We are trying to
get everything planned for interns that are
coming in February before Christmas
break. We are moving forward on the
church plant and may have found a site. We are praying through that as
a team now. Ethembeni ministry is looking for us interpreters so pray
that gets in place before February. It will maximize evangelism on
house visits and help discipleship with interns. Jacob is in finals so he
needs your prayers. We are excited to visit our family and the church
family in a few weeks. “See you soon” never
sounded so good!
Mark & Gynnette Yoho (Fourth Watch
Ministry; 840 Mountain Loop Rd NW; Sugar
Valley, GA 30746): As another ministry year
begins to wind down we are shifting gears to
prepare for our season of street outreaches.
We just received a shipment of 10,000
November 18, 2015
as we continue to move closer to marriage. Please pray for the details
of the wedding day to fall into place with little stress :) I really
appreciate your sweet prayers. Thank you for praying!
Kristen Bowen (currently attending North Greenville University
with plans to do the Journeyman program with
the IMB; 7801 N. Tigerville Road, Box 2282;
Tigerville, SC 29688): Thank you so much for
your prayers. Please pray for me as I am finishing
out the semester and trying to figure out what to
do post-graduation!
Brian & Ashley Jones (student at
Southeastern Baptist
Theological Seminary;
704 Ridgetop Way; Wake Forest, NC 27587): Thank you for your prayers!! Brian and I both
have been sick lately (really terrible colds) and
have had car trouble this week. Thankfully, we
will be getting a new car next week so God’s
timing is perfect! Please pray for Brian as the
end of the semester approaches. Please continue
praying for our recent switch to student
ministry and for Gospel opportunities at work. Thank you so much and
looking forward to seeing you all next week!!
Josh & Hannah Bowen (seminary student at Boyce School/
Southern Baptist Theological
Seminary; 107 Fenley Avenue,
Apt Q3; Louisville, KY 40207): There are a group of three at work
(including me) that have agreed to
meet on Wednesday mornings
early at the office and do a Bible
study. We are simply going
through Colossians. I am excited
about this and wanted to share with all of you and ask for your prayers.
I feel like the reasons the Father moved us here are ever developing in
front of our eyes and so far they have not been at all the way I had
planned. Hannah and the kids are doing great! We love our church and
friends. There are so many encouraging families that are keeping up
with us and we are trying to do the same. We miss Dalton a lot, and our
familiar family at GLBC, but there is no doubt in my mind we are
where God wants us right now. Thank you for your patience and
continued prayer!
Christmas Gospel tracts and will begin to distribute them as early as
this weekend at an upcoming Christmas parade. Please pray for our
Christmas outreaches; they are a lot of fun and a great opportunity to
impact a lot of lives with the Gospel. Tomorrow, November 19 I will
be speaking at the Gordon Central FCA meeting. Pray for students and
teachers to be receptive. Also I will be sharing the Gospel at the Upper
Room Mission Christmas party on December 1. Pray for his outreach
and volunteers to come out and help, contact Wayne Snyder or myself
for details. Thanks so much. Blessings and Happy Thanksgiving.
Julie Parham (answered the call to vocational ministry; 1812
Glenbrook Place; Dalton, GA 30720): Thank you
so much for praying for Dnow! Many of us
experienced the Holy Spirit during our sessions and
worship; it was such a beautiful time with the
youth. Please continue to pray for our youth as
many of them made decisions to build a stronger
relationship with Christ. And I’m so excited we
have a new brother in Christ!! Continue to lift him
up. Pray for me and my school decisions; pray I will
trust the Lord! Also continue to lift up my grandmother in your prayers
as we share the Gospel with her. Love you all! Thank you for praying
for me and with me!
Bryan & Brittany Kelly (Boyce School/Southern Baptist
Theological Seminary; 315 Crescent Court;
Louisville KY 40206): The wedding was
beautiful! It was so great to be with family but so
very hard to leave. Pray for us this week as we
are back in the slump of missing family. With
Thanksgiving approaching it makes us a little
more homesick. WE FINISH IN 14 DAYS! Pray
that we would finish strong and trust the Lord
and His plan. It's still hard to think of not coming
closer to home, right after graduation, but, I know if that's where the
Lord wants us, He will open the doors and lead us there. Thank you for
the encouragement. We love and miss y'all soooo much. We are
praying for you all.
Chad Keeter (Navigators Ministry, Staff; 825 Gaines School Road,
Apt 219; Athens, GA 30605): I made it safely back to Athens. Thank
you for praying for my time in Orlando! It was a good time of
encouragement and being taught from the Word. Now that I'm back in
Athens, the semester is winding down very quickly. Pray that these last
few weeks before the break between semesters would be fruitful for
Ken and me as we continue to get time with and invest in the
sophomore guys in our ministry. Thank you for continuing to pray for
these guys. There have been evident strides in the sense of community
and buy in that I see among them. As a group, there is an increased
hunger for relationship with God and there's a growing burden in them
for the lost as well. Pray that in the spring semester these roots would
grow even deeper. I'd love to see 6 to 7 or more of them regularly
going with Ken and me to do evangelism on campus, reaching out to
guys in their classes, and having regular
quiet times. Pray with me that God would
bring this about. I love you guys; thank you
for your prayers! Emily Payne (answered the call to
vocational ministry; 1913 Beaverdale Road
NE; Dalton, GA 30721): Thank you all for
your willingness to pray for me! As the
semester is coming to an end, a lot of big
projects are starting in my classes. Please
pray specifically for the three group members I have been paired with
for a group project in one of my classes. All three are non-believers,
and two of them are homosexual. Pray that I will be able to share with
them the love of Christ, and that the Holy Spirit will speak through me
in this situation! I would also like to ask you to pray for Chad and me
For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you,
remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you
the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts
enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his
glorious inheritance in the saints. Ephesians 1:15-18
