Felicitation programme was conducted on 4th Aug 2014 to Mr. M. Alagappan the co- ordinator of the college. On 9th June 2015, Felicitation function was arranged to Dr. P. Mahadevan, Asst. Prof. in English

Organised the 69th Independence Day on 15th August 2014and Chief Executive Officer Dr. R. Kannan delivered the independence day address.

Organised 10th batch inaugural function on 18th Aug 2014. The co-operative society was inaugurated for the 2014-2015 batch B.Ed. teacher-

trainees of college. Organised Orientation program for the Commencement of the classes on 20th August

2014. Teacher’s Day was celebrated and special lecture arranged by IQAC. Commander

M.J.M. Ghouse, (Indian Navy) Managing Director of Security Bureau delivered “The characteristics of a quality teacher” and emphasized the importance of teacher’s physical health on September 5th 2014,

Workshop on “communication skill and classroom management” 4th January 2014 National Seminar on “Achieving Sustainable Clean India through Education” on

26th March 2015 - 67 papers presented 196 participants participated.

IQAC arranged on “Teaching of IPod Generation” on 5th Sep 2014. The Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sethuraman, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University, Puducherry, delivered the special lecture.

Conducted special training on “Green School, Home Gardening and Organic Vegetable Production” on 23rd September 2014 for the purpose to generate home gardening.

Soft skill development programs were conducted to the teacher-trainees once in every week.

Organized Blood donation camp on September 30th 2014 in collaboration with Blood Donor’s Association, Cuddalore. There were 37 Teacher-trainees and 7 Teacher-educators gave voluntary blood donation

Micro Teaching sessions were held and Video Recording of the session were done and this program was held on 16th October 2014.

Organised Demonstration & Criticism classes were organized on 17th Oct 2014. Internship Program arranged to the trainees in Puducherry and Tamilnadu schools (13

schools) from 30th Oct to 12th December 2014. Provided in-service training programme to the Krishnaswamy VidyaNikethan (CBSE

School) teachers from 01-12-2014 to 06-12-2014 for six days on CCE Celebrated Christmas on 24th Dec 2014 in the college campus. 2015 New Year Celebration was celebrated in the college on 30th Dec. 2014. Arranged the visit to Science Exhibition entitled ‘A to Z Exhibition’ held at the

Krishnasamy Memorial Mat. Hr. Sec. School of Excellence, Kumarapuram. Five days’ citizenship training camp was organized in Manapattu, Kattukuppam,

Varkalodai villages from 8th to 12th January 2015. Arranged the School Visit Programme to Sathya Special School, Karuvadikuppam and

Ananda Ranga Pillai Special School for Differently abled children, Kalapet on 22ndJanuary 2015.

Celebrated the Republic Day on 26th January. Organised the special lecture on ‘swine flu’ was delivered by Mr. C. Palanisamy, the

District Malaria officer, Cuddalore on 25th Feb. 2015. Conducted special lecture on “The Rights of Women in the coming Era”, “How the

women should be” by Mrs. Gomathy, HOD in Tamil Department, from Kandasamy Naidu Women’s College, Cuddalore on the Women’s Day Programme - 10th March 2015.

Organized the one-day National Seminar, “Achieving Sustainable Clean India through Education” on 26th March 2015.

Campus Interview was conducted in collaboration with Krishnasamy Memorial Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Cuddalore, Krishnasamy Matric Hr. Sec. School of Excellence, Kumarapuram and Krishnaswamy Vidyanikethan (CBSE) School, Kumarapuram. 21 student-teachers were selected in the academic year 2014-2015, on 7th April 2015.

Student seminar was conducted from 27-to 29-04-2015 for core subject in the form of power point. It will be moderated by an expert in the particular subject.

The college presented the projects “Hybrid Model of PT (Peer Tutoring) and SS (Students’ Seminar) in Remedial Teaching(RT)” –[HPTSSRT] and “Creation of e- Poster in Learning” in the Pondicherry University on 16-4-2015.

Arranged literary, cultural and sports competitions to exposed their talents in the co-curricular activities as well. The literary competition - Essay Writing, Elocution and Poetry Writing, the cultural activities - solo dance, drawing, solo song, hand craft, Rangoli, mono-acting and cooking. The sports activities include indoor games – chess, carom and outdoor games – throw ball, badminton, track & field were conducted.

The Educational Tour was arranged for the academic year 2014-2015 on 2th May 2015. Organised 10th Annual Day on 12th May 2015. Mrs. Neelam Arulselvi, principal and

Mrs. A. Irudayamary, President, Prof. Annoussamy Hr. Sec. School, Bahour delivered a special lecture on that day.

IQAC guided the faculty members to provide consultancy service and to provide in-service training programme to school teachers

o Sri Gurugnanasambandar Mission Matriculation School teachers, Chidambaram on 26th and 27th May 2015 – 15 teachers benefited.

o A special in-service training to teachers of KMMHS School, Cuddalore and KMHSSE, Kumarapuram on 28th May 2015.

Organized the meeting and discussion for Contribution to two Year B.Ed., Curriculum development in Pondicherry University.

Attended three-day workshop in Pondicherry University on 6th to 8th July 2015, all the faculty members participated and contributed for “Drafting Curriculum for 2 year B.Ed. and M.Ed. Programme”

The Pondicherry University regularly revise and update the B.Ed. regulation and curriculum. For the syllabus revision the faculty members are involve in the process with the Pondicherry University. The updated curriculum is always transacted in the college as expected out of the 21st century requirements.

Independence Day: IQAC organised the 69thIndependence Day on 15th August 2014. Inaugural Function: IQAC organised 10th batch inaugural function on 18th Aug 2014. IQAC arranged special Lecture Series: The Chief Guest Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr. Sethuraman, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University, Puducherry, delivered the special lecture on “Teaching of IPod Generation ”on 5th Sep 2014.

IQAC organised special training on “Green School, Home Gardening and Organic Vegetable Production” on 23.09.2014 for the purpose to generate home gardening.

Soft Skill Development: Soft skill development program were conducted to the teacher-trainees once a week

Blood Donation: IQAC organized Blood donation camp on September 30 th 2014. in collaboration with Blood Donor’s Association, Cuddalore. There were 37 Teacher -trainees and 7 Teacher-educators donated blood voluntarily.

Micro Teaching - Video Feedback: Micro teaching sessions were held and the sessions were video recording were done and this program was held on 16th October 2014.

Demonstration & Criticism Classes: IQAC organised Demonstration & Criticism classes for the student trainees on 17th Oct 2014.

Internship Program: From 30th Oct to 12th December 2014, the trainees were undergone internship training in Puducherry and Tamilnadu schools (13 schools). At the same time, a Teacher-educator was assigned to every school.

Republic Day: On 26thJanuary, the Republic Day celebration was arranged by the IQAC. Awareness Programme on “Swine Flu”: The special lecture on ‘swine flu’ was delivered by

Mr. C. Palanisamy, the District Malaria officer, Cuddalore on 25th Feb. 2015. Women’s Day Special: On 10th March 2015, the Women’s Day Programme was conducted by

IQAC. “The Rights of Women in the coming Era”, “How the women should be” were discussed by the special guest on that day was Mrs. Gomathy, HOD in Tamil Department, from Kandasamy Naidu Women’s College, Cuddalore.

Practical Examination: Practical Examination was conducted on 27th and 28thMarch, 2015. IQAC organized the National Seminar on “Achieving Sustainable Clean India through

Education” on 26th March 2015. Campus Interview: the three schools Krishnasamy Memorial Matric. Hr. Sec. School,

Cuddalore, Krishnasamy Matric Hr. Sec. School of Excellence, Kumarapuram and Krishnaswamy Vidyanikethan (CBSE) School, Kumarapuram, come and interview student-teachers to select for their well-reputed institutions.80% of student-teachers were selected in the academic year 2014-2015, 7th April 2015.

Students’ Seminar: Student seminar were conducted by IQAC from 27-to 29-04-2015. After the completion of syllabus, the B.Ed. trainees are presented a paper on their course subject in the form of power point. It will be moderated by an expert in the particular subject.

Innovative Practices: On 16-4-2015, IQAC of KCEDN presented the projects ““Hybrid Model of PT (Peer Tutoring) and SS (Students’ Seminar) in Remedial Teaching(RT)” –[HPTSSRT]” and “Creation of e- Poster in Learning” in the Pondicherry University. The Pondicherry University Faculty members from School of Education appreciated and they suggested to send it the NCTE for Award winning.

Literary, Cultural and Sports Competitions: IQAC arranged literary, cultural and sports competitions to exposed their talents in the co-curricular activities as well. The literary competition - Essay Writing, Elocution and Poetry Writing, the cultural activities - solo dance, drawing, solo song, hand craft, Rangoli, mono-acting and cooking. The sports activities include indoor games – chess, carom and outdoor games – throw ball, badminton, track & field were conducted.

Educational Tour: The Educational Tour was arranged for the academic year 2014-2015 by the IQAC of KCEDN on 2-5-2015.

All the faculty members and principal systematically planned and discussed on Drafting Curriculum for 2 year B.Ed. programme of the Pondicherry University Based on the request of the Dean, School of Education, Pondicherry University, the faculty members spent one month for drafting new two year B.Ed. regulation and syllabi to be introduced from the academic year 2015 -2016 onwards. The faculty members discussed their contribution for the curriculum along with their colleagues and the Principal. Based on the elaborate discussion draft curriculum was refined and this was escalated to the university authorities for further refinement with the contribution of other colleges. The principal and all the faculty members attended all the meetings organized in the school of education Pondicherry University. The principal being the member of the board of studies contributed for the development of rich two year B.Ed. curriculum. The faculty members were involved in the documentation process of the curriculum of the Pondicherry University

The faculty members work in advance and prepare PPT as well as synopsis for classroom discussion and classroom seminar. Teaching with the help of LCD projector and other electronic equipment are regularly used.

LCD projectors are regularly utilized by the teachers and students. Remedial teaching, peer group formation and peer tutoring are a few successful

teaching learning process experimented and found successful in the college.

Subject teachers conducted unit tests and model exams and evaluated them and offered suitable suggestions for improvement by way of analysing the answer script immediately

With the encouragement of management and the principal, the faculties are encouraged to publish research papers in research journals. One faculty member awarded in Ph.D. and another two faculty members are waiting for Ph.D., award.

Well-equipped library, ICT lab, good classroom and language lab with essential instruments are developed by management.

One-month continuous discussion, informal workshop and individual contribution by the principal and the faculty members for the preparation of 2 year B.Ed. draft curriculum to Pondicherry University. The hours discussion in the principal room with power point presentation of the curriculum contribution of the faculty members has improved the professional skills and responsibilities of all the faculty members.

The regular staff meeting with minutes – highly democratic way of conducting the proceedings – sincere attempt to follow the decisions.

The birthdays of the student teachers are announced the morning assembly and wished by every only.
