  • Korula & Peljeac the best kept Croatian secret The island of Korula and Peljeac peninsula belong to Dalmatian archipelago. The island is divided into municipalities of Korula, Smokvica, Vela Luka, Blato and Lumbarda. Peljeac is divided into 4 municipalities: Ston, Janjina, Trpanj and Orebi. This part of Croatia is known for having the highest number of sunny days, 2700 sunny hours per year. You may enjoy splendid weather and warm sea for the greatest part of the year.

  • Korula Marco Polo hometown The name Korula was given by the ancient Greeks. They named it Korkyra Melaina, which means Black Korula, due to the black oak tree forests. The most valuable ancient object is Lumbardas Psephisma dating from the 3 rd century BC and it is considered the oldest written record in stone in Croatia. The most world- wide famous citizen of Korula is the world-famous travel writer and explorer Marco Polo who was imprisoned after the Battle in Front of Korula on September 7th 1298.

  • Ston world 2 nd longest walls The Walls of Ston are large fortifications built by the Republic of Ragusa (Dubrovnik). They were built in the 14 th century and they are the second longest walls in the world, 5.5 km long.
