Kodeta is an all rock and dance band on their way back from a bad start. This allowed them to do nothing but move forward with their music playing at small venues each time taking a step up the ladder to become harder and better of which I and all their fans would call the under dogs. Kodeta lead singer and guitarist Jace Gilkes started the band when he and his two best friends, Andrew Todd the drummer, were only fifteen with, bass guitarist Jack Teare. They came from a small town in the corner of Norfolk called Dereham; it’s not the biggest music venue in the world for the band but they have made something from it.

Jace, aged 22, is what the guys call the lady’s man of the band he constantly going home with new women. The girls say it’s not his looks so I’ll let you ponder on what it could be? He can definatly sing with the high guys such as Patrick Monahan, from the American band train, Kelly Jones, from the brilliant welsh band stereophonics. Andrew Todd the

youngest of three and probably the smartest of his band mates left school with 10 GCSE none lower than B’s what does that tell you? He also left college with four A Levels and should have gone to university but took a chance on the band and what a chance he took.

Jack the base guitarists and backing vocalist and the quietest of the four can also play the drums and keyboard and wants to learn to play the saxophone his mousey brown hair and gorgeous but good luck if you want him? This guy can play the guitar like no other and has had offers from other bands for his mad skills and ability but he stayed and thank god for it. He has easily got the rhythm but what you don’t know is he used to play for less than sixteen’s for Norwich City but left to find out why go to the Interviews.

The mischievous bunch is constantly pulling the pranks on each other but the victims are always the guys who are helping them weather it is the backstage guys or their manager. When I interviewed them this is what they said.

“What are your plans after Leeds are you going to finally release that new single”

Jace – “Well usually you release the single and then the album but due to some problems with our record producers. So we decided to do the tour anyway and release after. Jason – “Yes at least I hope we will all find out soon enough”
