The 2015/16 school year brings the opening of the new Kindergarten location

(viale Matteotti 52, Firenze), which will host the International sections at the

elementary school (primary, 6-11 years old students) and middle school levels(11-14 years old students).

The Kindergarten Elementary School (Primary) is open from September 1 to

June 30. Hours are from 7:30 to 18:00, Monday to Friday.

The International section o!ers:

Lessons conducted by Italian teachers in the morning and by English

mother-tongue teachers in the afternoon;

Specific laboratories conducted by English mother-tongue teachers in

the afternoon.

Teaching occurs from 8.30 to 16:00:

Morning lessons, from 8:30 to 12:30, are conducted by the Italian teachers;

morning school schedules include: Italian, history, geography, mathematics

and science;

Afternoon lessons, from 14:00 to 16:00, are conducted by the English

mother-tongue teachers; afternoon school schedules include: English

(5hours), art (2hours), music (1 hour) and gym (2 hours).

ORGANIZATION

In the afternoons mother-tongue teachers follow pupils from 13:00 to 17:00.

At 12:30 lunch is servedand provided by an external company. The menu is

set by the school doctor, aiming to ensure a healthy, balanced and varied

diet, as indicated by the daily nutritional recommendations of Regione

Toscana. We serve special meals for allergic or celiac children.

After 16.00 children may attend many optional extracurricular activities.

Activities will take place both within and outside the school and will be run by

sport and cultural clubs.

For example: English courses run by the British Institute (inside the school);dance and gymnastics, tennis, basketball, football, music (piano, sax, clarinet,

flute).
