9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Into Focus: Discerning the New Law Firm Profitability Model Since 2008, law firm financial performance has elicited significant conversation throughout the legal profession. Talk of “new” financial metrics that more accurately depict profitability and organizational health reflects a once stoic industry’s still-ongoing adjustment to the new realities of modern business – a vista forged upon transparency, accountability, and quantifiable success. Data, when leveraged properly, is at the core of any financial analysis. But when firms fail to properly interpret their own metrics, skewed (if inaccurate) conclusions ensue. This presentation offers a rare case study on how law firms can properly assess their in-house data for a more reliable portrait of profitability.
