CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES
This Week in CHILDREN‟S MINISTRIES: Today in First Look (for Preschool and Kindergarten children) the story is from Genesis 1:9-13 Creation, Day 3; Land, Plants and Sea. The bottom line is „God made everything‟. In 252 Basics, (Grades 1 to 5) the monthly virtue is „TRUST, putting your confidence in someone you can depend on‟. The lesson is from Mark 4:35-40 and is about Jesus calming the storm.
For more information about the children’s weekly lessons, please check the church website on the Children’s Ministry page

Summer programs for children! We are delighted to provide a summer Sunday Program for children, Nursery to age 10. We need some help to provide a safe and happy class. Leaders and helpers who assist during the year get the summer off. So… here‟s your chance to try Children‟s Ministries. On the trolley outside the gym door there is a sign-up sheet where you can indicate your preferred age group (Nursery, preschool and school age children). Note: If you are new to Children‟s Ministry, you will be contacted for a brief interview. You will be partnered with others who are experienced in our programs. Yorkminster Park will host a summer kids‟ event called SonRise National Park from July 30th to August 3rd running from 9 to noon. SonRise National Park is for children going into JK in September to Grade 5. Meet new friends, enjoy amazing crafts, games and snacks, learn through Bible adventures and incredible music. Registration forms are available on the trolley near the gym door. Pre-registration is required!

SEEKING ONGOING PRAYERS FOR OUR NEW CANADIAN (REFUGEE) FAMILY As we head into summer, please continue to keep our sponsored family in your mind and prayers. Pray for success as Ebrahim and Nazli focus on the job search. They have had some interviews, but it is a challenge to break into the workforce. Pray for Batoul, who has some medical concerns and is awaiting consultation for treatment options. If you have a lead on potential entry-level jobs, or with potential employers, please contact Janet Kim at 416-978-1950 or [email protected]. We thank again all the generous donors who have assured that as a congregation, we can fully provide income support to the family until August, when our financial commitment concludes.
