New mandatory training for all staff

Revised Prevent Duty Guidance: for England and Wales 2015

Skills For Health UK Core Skills Training Framework

Levels 1 and 2 are applicable to all staff and can be completed together as part of the e-Learning Module on Training Tracker. This should be completed 3 yearly.

Level 3 is applicable to all clinical staff working with adults, children and young people and/or their parents/carers. This will be rolled out in a phased approach, commencing with high

risk staff as capacity is made available on classroom sessions. This is also a 3 yearly requirement.

Prevent e-Learning (levels 1 and 2) will be added to mandatory training profiles on Pro4 at the end of June, but the module is available now. We would urge staff where possible to complete this training early and not wait for it to be added to Pro4. Early completion means that you will automatically be in date when the requirement is added to your mandatory training profile.

For those of you that use UpToDate, there is now an UpToDate App available to use on your own electronic devices.

All staff members can access the UpToDate website on the Intranet by clicking on Web Based Systems, but to get the app you have to register for your own UpToDate account. This is really simple to do and

also allows you to save your searches and set up alerts.

Download the app from the App Store for apple products, or google play or market for android.

Don’t worry if you get an email saying ‘your remote access has lapsed’. This is an automatic email sent every 90 days to ensure

people using the app are still eligible. To renew your access simply log into the UpToDate website via Web based systems on a trust computer and input your login details. If you have any questions or issues with accessing UpToDate, please contact Simon at the Oliveira Library, ext 4519.

Update on UpToDate

UpToDate are now offering live online learning sessions to show you how to get the best out of using UpToDate. You can register for the live events or watch recorded sessions at http://www.uptodate.com/home/online-tutorials
