• All the control copper cables from VTs, CTsand apparatus (circuit breaker anddisconnectors) to the control room arereplaced by optical fibers
• The SAM600 MUs converts the analog data from theswitchyard (voltage and current) in digital signalsprovided by the SMV protocol. The binaries inputsand output are, as well, encoded in GOOSE messagesover the Ethernet network and carried out togheterSMV data.
• The RELION protection and control IEDs offers 4redundant communication networks with zerolatency and switchover, avoiding loss ofinformation in this critical mission system incase of failures N-1
• The MicroSCADA supervisory system get data from theIEDs and show the real time status of the substationvia the single line diagrams, event and alarm lists. Thearchitecture of such system contains 2 GPS clocks tooffers a 1 microsecond synch time to the entirenetwork architecture
