I have a passion for Film and Photography and I aspire to have a career in this industry, so I believe the best thing to do would be to study it for as long as possible. I feel like getting the correct qualifications would help massively and I know that I don’t know everything about Film so I’m interested in everything about it. I know that The BRIT School will give me everything I desire. I also admire the organisation and the layout of the school. 2. How easy was the application process? Very easy, I believe. The set of question were presented well and it was easy to explain and expand the answer I was giving. 3. What advice would you give to anyone wishing to apply for The BRIT School at KS4? I would say that you should think long and hard about the strand you desire to be accepted in. It would be very senseless to apply for something you have no passion for because you would have to stick to that for 2 years. If you’re coming to this school for the fun then don’t apply because people take the applications very serious and it quite ungrateful for you to take advantage of this opportunity that has been given to you. Have fun, if you have a chance to have an interview then be you, give them your best and give a good impression. If you get into the school then take in as much knowledge as possible. Learn useful skills to help you out throughout the years you have at this school and don’t take anything for granted when you’re at this school. 4. What is your favourite subject outside of Strand? Definitely Drama, the atmosphere is filled with so much energy and creativity. I’m in love with the class I’m in. They are all so motivated and the performances are presented in such a professional way. The teacher is able to bring life to each and every one of us, and his abilities to teach life-lesson skills to us is simply outstanding. 5. Which is your favourite part of strand work so far?

8x QUESTIONS:

1. Why did you want to join The BRIT School?

I’m in love with our Radio work. The concept is the whole FMP class is split into two, 10 do Film and the other 10 do Radio. I love the whole process of Radio, the different radio rooms and the technology to broadcast our voices to the world is just fascinating.

6. What do you like most about attending The BRIT School?

I think the different personalities that are presented through the outfits and the hair and the makeup and just everything about the students and the different colours around the school. I also love how you can be so comfortable in one school, they take homophobia so serious which helps LGBT people at this school.

7. What skills are you learning through studying in strand? Do you use these skills elsewhere in your other subjects? If so, which ones and in which subjects?

I’m definitely learning different things about ‘Digital and Analogue’ but I’ve learnt the most skills in Radio, like fading, selection of music, recording, and the scripts. In Radio, our tasks were to create a radio show and creating a script was part of the task. We had to select 3 songs and add a theme if we wished to. The script writing helped me out massive through Drama because I understand the concept of scriptwriting a lot more now.

8. What do you want to do when leave The Brit School?

Without a doubt, directing, photographer, radio host – anything surrounding that. My ultimate goal would be to document my life and experiences and broadcast them to social media, like YouTube or Facebook. I would love to create a hard-working, blockbusting movie. As I attended The BRIT School, I also fell in love with Radio, so I would also enjoy becoming a radio host as well.

9. Do you have any other comments?

The BRIT School is an amazing experience and I believe that it can skill you and shape you up for the world in front of you. I hope I have changed your mind, see you very soon.
