1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 PREFACE This document is a supplement to the FP & CPT combined specifications and defines the components to be used in order to build the machine according to them. However, in any case of dispute the content of the FP & CPT combined specifications shall be considered the only valid documents. For product application, careful attention should be paid to the technical specifications supplied by Eaton. Eaton will not be responsible for damage to people or things caused by not standard use of its products. In case of any doubt, always contact the technical department and follow exactly the instructions for dimensioning and assembling contained in the technical manual. However the OEM must verify the adaptability of the sample applications to its project and it must guarantee the observance of laws and norms in force. =========================================================================================== All information contained in this document is superseded by the requirements of the FP-CPT Global Specification. 1.2 Components Approval
Components to be used shall be indicated by the OEM into the Component list. The Component list can be downloaded from
the Eaton web site and shall be sent via e-mail to FP & CPT for approval. Component list shall be filled with:
– Quantity of each component used
– Quantity of the machine that is referred to
– References of the Eaton sales or Distributor’s representative that deliver the components.
Use of different components shall be agreed with FP & CPT by mean of a written deviation request which explains the
technical reason.

4.3 RESERVOIRS and PUMPS
All hydraulic power units must be purchased from approved Tier II Supplier. The standard power units are built with a modular principle:
a. Motor pump unit, consisting of:
a. Piston pump type PVM -continuos pressure Pmax = 250 bar (3625 psi) & PVQ -continuos pressure pmax = 140 bar (2030 psi)
b. Coupling
c. Pump flange
d. Three phase engine
b. By-pass-filtering and cooling:
a. With plate style heat exchanger
b. With vane pump
c. Accumulator assembly:
a. The recommendation of an accumulator depends from the demand of the work cycle.
d. Air filtration
a. A 10 micron filter is recommended
e. Reservoir filling and draining
a. With quick acting connection as indicated in the spec PT_TS_FL_Fluid_Power para 2.3.8

Air Bleed Option
Usually cylinders will bleed themselves of air when Ports are
vertical, on top. Bleed ports are often desirable to remove
entrapped air, when the ports are on the bottom. High
performance and high speed or heavy load applications are a
few examples where air bleeds are desirable.
