The successful candidate for the M & R Superintendent must have:
Degree in Management Information Systems, Accounting, Project Management and/or 2-5 years in a similar role.

DUTIES Include:
Oversee the development and implementation of a new maintenance system.
Work with all stakeholders to meet project milestones associated with the “go-live” of the marine terminal and the new system.
Implement control processes to effectively manage the procurement and inventory of spare parts, procurement of new equipment and proper payment of invoices.
Supervise union-represented employees, including the responsibility and authority to: (a) counsel, discipline, and make termination recommendations to ensure an efficient operation within the definitions of the labor agreement; (b) train and direct such personnel in proper operating and safety procedures; and (c) enforce productivity levels by frequent rounds within the terminal and a follow up assessment prior to shift end.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Create flyers, brochures, or other graphics on the computer. Proofread copy for spelling,
grammar, and layout, making appropriate changes.
Participate in staff meetings, supervision, training and other required agency and community
meetings.
Complete all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must have strong knowledge and skill in a variety of computer software applications: Microsoft
Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access databases. General understanding of
accounting, 10-key by touch, Excel computer formulas and ACCPAC knowledge helpful. This
position requires strong time management skills, exceptional attention to detail, organizational
skills, flexibility and willingness to work out of both the Vista and Oceanside offices. Position
requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Must demonstrate a high level of initiative with the ability to write and communicate in a
professional manner, including accurate spelling and grammar. Must have ability to understand
and carry out oral and written instructions. Compatible with agency purpose and philosophy.
Bachelors degree required. Reliable transportation for occasional travel to multiple sites.
Ability to type 50 WPM.
