001. DEPUTY DIRECTOR GOVERNANCE & CO-ORDINATION KWT 3: ONE (1)
POST
The officer will be reporting to Director Governance & Coordination and will be
responsible for:-
a) Job description
(i) Overseeing implementation of policy and legislation in regard to collaboration,
conservation and management;
(ii) Mobilizing resources from the Government, development partners, private sector and
other stakeholders;
(iii) Coordinating the recovery and restoration of Water Towers lands, wetlands and
biodiversity hot spots;
(iv) Coordinating identification of water towers and watershed for protection in
consultation with relevant stakeholders;

(vi) Advising and coordinating conservation and protection of riparian zones within the water towers;

ecosystem;

rehabilitation, protection and management of resources in water catchment areas;

For appointment to this grade a candidate must:-
(i) Have a Master’s degree in any of the following fields:- Natural Resource Management,
Meteorology, Cartography, Hydrology, Ecology, Land Economics, Geo-Spatial survey,
Climate Science, GIS, Remote sensing, Environmental Science or any other related field
(ii) Be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields:- Natural Resource

002 DEPUTY DIRECTOR ECOSYSTEM ASSESSMENT, PLANNING & AUDIT,
KWT 3: ONE (1) POST
The Officer will report to the Director Ecosystem Assessment, Planning & Audit and will
be responsible for:-

(i) Coordinating the development and implementation of policy and legislation in regard to
Water Towers Ecosystem Assessment, Planning and Audit;

(i) A Master’s degree in either Natural Resource Management, Ecology, Environmental
Planning, Environmental Economics, Environmental Science or any other relevant field;
(ii) A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields:- Natural Resource Management,
Ecology, Environmental Planning, Environmental Economics, Environmental Science or
any other relevant field;
(iii) Have at least eight years (8) relevant work experience, three (3) of which must be at a
senior management level;
(iv) Have demonstrated professional competence and good understanding of Natural

The Officer in this grade will be reporting to Deputy Director Partnerships, Business
Development and Community Livelihood and will be responsible for:-
a) Job descriptions
(i) Participate in formulating strategies and operational programs for private sector
development and PPP promotion in consultation with relevant government agencies.
(ii) Participate in the preparation and development of a Partnership Strategy in the Natural
Resources Sector
(iii) Liaise with Private sector Associations in the preparation of private sector assessments
for a Partnership Strategy, and identification of common work initiatives.
(iv) Participate in conducting policy dialogue with other agencies, development partners,
the private sector, and other stakeholders to identify and address challenges to scaling
up private sector development and PPPs in the Natural Resources Sector.

The Officer will be reporting to Deputy Director Partnerships, Business Development

towers, including carbon, water, and biodiversity.

ecosystem products including setting up of endowment funds within Water towers

ensures sustainable natural resource utilization by communities living within designated
Water towers;

a) Job Descriptions
The Manager, Corporate Communication will be the Head of the unit and will be
answerable to the Director General. The officer will be responsible for:-
(i) Providing counsel and oversight for the corporate Image, reputation & communication
management for the Agency ,
(ii) Development and implementation of the public relations and communication strategy
for the Agency,
(iii) Development and management of the Corporate brand identity for the Agency,
(iv) Development and management of the Agency’s media strategy (offline and online) to
enhance communication and awareness on the Organization’s activities and programs;
(v) Developing a comprehensive stakeholder relations strategy for employees, relevant
government departments, partner organisations and the general public,
(vi) Developing policies on public relations/communication for the Agency,

The Manager will be answerable to Director Corporate Services and is responsible for:-

(ii) Formulating and aligning the Human Resource strategies to the Organizational strategy;
(iii) Preparation of the Human Resources Agenda for the Board;

The Officer will report to the Assistant Director Ecosystem Assessment and will be responsible

(i) Assisting in acquisition and management of spatial datasets for all the water towers;
(ii) Assisting in development of a spatial database for all the water towers using software’s
such as PostGIS, SQL Server, mobile servers etc.;
(iii) Contributing in mapping and modeling of Water Towers ecosystem services
(iv) Assisting in assessment of land cover and land use trends in all the water towers;
(v) Contributing in assessment of water towers ecological integrity and map priority
rehabilitation sites;
(vi) Developing cartographic products and spatial data to support development of the Water
Towers status reports and other KWTA activities;
