JOB DESCRIPTION PROFILE for COMMIS CHEF
Our restaurants require an energetic, professional staff member who has an excellent track record in hospitality and who thrives in a fast-paced service environment. The focus is on professionalism and accuracy. The ideal candidates must possess in depth knowledge about Food & Beverage in addition to superior customer relations skills. Excellent communication is essential to build a rapport with fellow colleagues and guests.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;
Job Skills:
Possess a good command of verbal and written English. Additional language skills
(Greek, French or Italian) would be a distinct advantage and benefit
A minimum of 1 years experience working within a 4* / 5* star establishment is of
preference and a distinct advantage. However this would also be an ideal first
placement for a high achieving and confident individual who can learn quickly
A genuine interest and understanding of food & drink
Exceptional communication and presentational skills
Problem solving skills
Ability to think on your feet and under pressure whilst maintaining a positive outlook
and attention to detail
Able to organise time effectively, forward plan and prioritise tasks to ensure work load
is balanced and urgent situations are dealt with immediately. Ability to multitask
Ability to work as part of a small team and independently and use initiative
Able to listen and follow directions
A degree of flexibility is required within this important role and will include the following
tasks on a daily / weekly basis
Job Role:
Prep work of ingredients for Senior Chefs
Preparation, cooking and plating of simple dishes
To assist all other chefs as and when required
To assist preparation of ingredients and dishes for any in-house special events ie.
Weddings, Baptisms, general parties
To conduct stock takes and compile stock lists to help with order requirements
Computer & Literacy Skills:
Basic maths / financial calculations. Ability accurately weigh ingredients
Personality: Outgoing, confident, positive, focused, mature, reliable, attentive, responsible and
accountable, team player but equally able to work independently and without supervision, well
presented.
Personal Situation: The role will require you to be of a mature outlook and approach.

could have a diverse effect or distraction on your employment, then this is an excellent
