• To revive feelings of compassion, humility, and mercy among Muslims, and bring about a change for the better in the society as a whole

The Promised Messiah’s Invitation

• On the basis of Revelation from God, I make this general announcement that the real Promised Messiah, who is also the Imam Mahdi—whose advent is prophesied in the Gospel (Injeel) and Qur’an, and the Ahadith, too, promise his advent—he is none other than I; however, I have come without the accompaniment of swords and guns. And God has commanded me to invite people toward God gently, quietly, compassionately, and with humility…

• I am the Divine light in this age of (spiritual) darkness. Everyone who follows me will be protected from [falling into] those ditches and trenches which the Satan has prepared for those who walk in the dark …

• The greatest sympathy with the Christians is that I may invite them toward the real God Almighty …and the greatest sympathy with the Muslims is that I may improve their moral condition and dissolve their false hopes that a “Bloody Mahdi” will come down who will spread Islam universally, with sword.

• Jesus foretold his travel to Galilee26:31 Then Jesus said to them, “This night you will all fall away because of me, for it is written: ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’43

Comment: If Jesus knew he was going up into heaven, he could easily have said:

I will go ahead of you into the heaven.

• But, instead he said: I will go ahead of you into Galilee.

• Thus, “ascending into heaven” is a story concocted by others, for various reasons, including his safety and security.

A Clue in the words of Jesus that he will not physically ascend to heaven

Implication: [The real context of the word “raised”]

• The statement of Jesus:

“But after I am raised, I will go ahead of you into Galilee”

cannot be taken to mean, “after I am raised into heaven”. Because, if that is the case, then “go ahead of you into Galilee” loses all significance.

• One who has a heavenly body cannot compare himself to ordinary human beings and say: I will be ahead of you.

• It is only when the disciples were, e.g., on foot, and Jesus himself was to be on foot, that his statement about being “ahead of you” would make any logical sense.

The Tomb of JesusBurial A good number of tombs from the time of Jesus have been discovered around Jerusalem, and so burial practices of the day can be described with some accuracy. It was customary then to place the body, washed, anointed with oils and spices and wrapped in a shroud, in the family tomb where it was placed either in a shaft cut into the rock, or on a shelf cut laterally into the rock (see illustration above). Then, after the flesh had decayed, the bones were gathered and placed in a stone box called an ossuary.

The entrance to the tomb was often sealed with a heavy rolling stone to prevent animals from invading the tomb. According to the gospels, Jesus' body was buried hurriedly before the Sabbath by Joseph of Arimathea in a tomb close by the place of crucifixion. Some women followers of Jesus, knowing where he was buried, were intent on returning after the Sabbath to complete the burial process. When they did, they found the tomb empty.

• The “Ointment of Jesus” mentioned in the Roman Pharmacopeia; the Canon of Avicenna etc. — about 100 books, written in French language, mentioned the Ointment of Jesus. Many of these books were written in pre-Islamic times ! These books even contain an explanatory note that the disciples of Jesus prepared this ointment for healing the wounds of Jesus.

• The Promised Messiah (a.s.) has listed a sample of 33, well-known, ancient medical books that were used in teaching medicine, over several centuries, in the Islamic world as well as among the Europeons.

The Real Reason for the Similarities between Christianity and Buddhism

• Many scholars try to explain the “lost years” of Jesus by theorizing that he quietly traveled to India in his teenage and learned the teachings of Buddhism from the Buddhist monks; then he returned to Palestine and eventually, when he became a prophet, Jesus included those Buddhist ideas in his teachings of Christianity.

• The Promised Messiah (a.s.) has corrected this common error of the Western researchers. He has argued that, in fact, it was the other way round.

• When Jesus escaped death on the cross and traveled to India, he also went to preach in the Buddhist areas. Most of the Israelites, who had been living there for centuries, believed in him and the Buddhists incorporated the basic teachings of Jesus into Buddhist literature !
