Yeshivat Etz Hachaim For a lifetime of growth
Yeshivat Etz Hachaim is the flagship of Shalom La’am, the dynamic education organisation founded by Rabbi Ya’akov Hillel. Shalom La’am has twenty four active branches, bringing Torah education to young people throughout Israel. While mainly catering for young men of Sephardic descent, the Yeshiva’s dynamic and open atmosphere attracts a broad cross-section of Israelis. Students thrive in the proximity of noted Torah scholars and in an intellectually stimulating environment.
Our Diaspora program was founded in 2008, and includes English and American students as well as contingents from Italy and Turkey. As part of the vigorous growth of the Yeshiva, the Diaspora program is expanding, and invites all English-speakers to experience our unique atmosphere-opening the door for a lifetime of personal growth.
■ Our Mission“We believe that everybody should have the opportunity to discover for themselves the beauty of Torah and Mitzvot. Our mission is to help today’s searching young Sefardic Jew discover his heritage and develop Torah study skills, in a warm and vibrant atmosphere.”
