Japanese Art Projects in Ten Easy Steps
Step One: Paint your trees using black paint on two sheets of white paper.
Step Four: Make several cuts about ½ inch apart but do not cut all the way to the edge.
Step Three: Choose one of your paintings and, after it has completely dried, fold it in half lengthwise.
Step Two: Use your pinky finger dipped in pink paint to add cherry blossoms to your trees.
Step Five: Place a line of glue along the short end of your paper.
Step Six: Glue the two edges together.
Step Seven: Add a black strip of paper for a handle; your lantern is finished!
Step Nine: Staple one end together and cover with a black strip of paper.
Step Ten: Add a string with some beads. Your fan is finished!
Step Eight: with the other painting, make a series of accordion folds.
