This is a good experiment to show capillary action, which is the process of a liquid being drawn up or against gravity. Supplies: Cardboard (the back of a paper pad works great) Small Dish 3 TBS of Water 1 1/2 TBS Ammonia 3 TBS of Liquid Bluing 3 TBS Salt Green Food Color Instructions: 1. Cut out two tree shapes from cardboard, then cut out triangles to make branches. Cut down the middle of each tree. One from the bottom and one from the top. 2. Add all ingredients to your dish and then put some food color on the tips of the branches. 3. Put your tree in your dish and watch it grow! Preschool/Pre-K Connection “Say Cheese” Room: 208 We are learning how to compare and contrast using a Venn Diagram. Students were able to talk about two versions of the Gingerbread Boy and discuss how they were alike and how they were different! “Say Cheese” Room: 111 Students are being creative making their shape reindeer! They identified various shape: sizes, features and names. They had fun designing and decorating their reindeers!

2. Mezcla todos los ingredientes a su plato y luego ponga un poco de color de comida en las puntas de las ramas

3. Ponga su árbol en su plato y verlo crecer!
