WHY PARTISANSHIP MATTERS

News Through Perspectives

Partisanship turns citizens away from understanding the true perspectives of

politicians and international leaders and makes them less likely to responsibly participate in

the democratic process.

News Through Perspectives

Promote intelligent voting by providing a news resource that shows multiple key perspectives on leading events which allows voters to better

understand their leaders

HOW PARALLAX BEATS PARTISANSHIP

Reader who promotes war on ISIS after attacks on Western civilians reads “Doves Perspective” on confl ict and reconsiders challenges of engaging ISIS

Reader follows Parallax World politics page and finds he consistently agrees with the perspectives of a presidential candidate and decides to vote for that candidate

A voter is traditionally Democratic (or Republican), but reading the specific viewpoints of leaders changes who that voter elects in an election

FEEDBACK

"Parallax World is a brilliant idea, providing a highly accessible multi-dimensional approach to issues in the news. Rarely do news articles and opinion pieces give equal and objective treatment to all major contending views.  This is the first website I’ve seen that makes understanding all sides of news stories the centerpiece of its mission.” – Retired Professor

“I like it. Different views are the future (meaning present) of news. To have a point/counterpoint that is thoughtful and informative, not just a bunch of glib, unsubstantiated, misleading, misinformed ranting in the comments is refreshing.” – Advertising Leader

"I think the articles are perfect. They provide a easy to understand overview of the issue without being too lengthy for people with time constraints. I like the layout also. It looks clean.” – Former Navy Corps

“The site looks really great, like the clean look. And I've never really seen anything quite like what you guys are doing. I think it's a really compelling idea.”- Los Angeles Bureau Chief of Major News Outlet
