Pastors Notes... HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Onward and Forward we go. We thank God for making it into the New Year of 2017. We have had a glorious start to the new year. We have been blessed and the church is still praising God. We are in a praise season. We thank God that the people here are now realizing that there is a need to praise and worship our Lord and Savior. We have the best mid-week service and the best praise service on Sunday morning. It doesn't take a lot of people but it takes sincere true praise from the heart. We are having our 5th Sunday Women's Day and our guest speaker will be Evangelist Doris Smith. We thank God that we have some willing and faithful women that believe in carrying on the word and will of God. We are also planning now for our February Black History moments. Our youth as well as adults will be participating every Sunday in some way to recognize our black history makers. Our youth will also be doing a car wash in early spring around spring break if the weather permits. We thank God for His many blessings. He continues to bless Jackson Springhill Baptist Church now more than ever, because we give Him all the praise, honor and glory for the things He has done, is doing and will continue to do. News & Notes

Pastor Danny Beal (holding grandchild) is surrounded by his family at Jackson Springhill Baptist Church 12

th annual Pastor’s Anniversary Sunday, October 9, 2016.

Runaway member Billie Jean Seaton celebrates her 80th

birthday October 15, 2016 with a host of family and friends at the Hilton San Diego in San Diego, California.

Cemetery Update The Jackson Springhill Cemetery Association would like to mount a financial drive to help make repairs to the cemetery. At the front entrance on the hilly side the ground is slowly washing away and it appears there should be a retaining wall. Bids are being considered. More information will be shared in the near future focusing on all that have relatives buried in the cemetery. For bids consideration contact Noella Cain at [email protected] or call Jackie at 903-939-2269. Also, finding unmarked graves with Ground Penetrating Radar is being considered for missing graves without markers. GPR Mapping is sub-surface imaging that looks underground to develop a picture profile of what lays below the surface. For cemeteries with missing or destroyed burial records, a GPR survey can produce a composite site map of an area that would indicate grave locations, positions and their depth. We will have more update information for everyone at a later date.
