Interjections

• Interjections are words used to express feelings or emotions.• Interjections are set off from the rest of the sentence.• Often found in dialogue.• They are the least used part of speech (but the most fun).

Interjections• Interjections function independently from

the rest of the sentence…• Example:

Huh? What does that mean?

• It is therefore set off from the rest of the sentence by a question mark, comma, or exclamation mark.
