Right to retire and rise as reasonable: The usual hours of arising are shortly before or after break-fast; the hours of retiring are at the resident’s de-sire. What’s Cooking

Sweet Treats

During February we think of Valentine’s Day, chocolates, candies, paczkis and the beginning of Lent. Here are some tips to put a healthy twist on everything February has to offer:

Chocolate Covered Fruits: Fruit reduces the risk for heart disease, satisfies that sweet tooth, and tastes great with chocolate!

Dark Chocolate: It has less sugar and cholesterol, more fiber and iron, and can even help lower blood pres-sure.

Think Red: Red bell peppers, cherries, strawberries, red beans, red onions and tomatoes are all packed with vitamins, cancer-fighting antioxidants or cholesterol-busting fiber and protein.

Portion Control: Try only taking a few pieces of candy first, then put the rest away for later.

February is a time for laughter, fun and food, but modera-tion is key.
