On Monday the school was abuzz with the joy of students being able to see all their classmates again. It was great to see everyone back and enjoying the return to greater normality. In many ways, the changes over the last few months have underscored how important the classroom connection is to all students. The continued efforts of everyone to implement the social distancing and hand washing has been clear for all to see. In many ways, social distancing has changed the fundamental nature of studentsplay as there are many activities that students could previously undertake, such as a game of soccer, which are now unavailable to them. A number of classes did a count of how often they washed their hands or used sanitiser during the day and realised, they were sanitising at least 17 times a day. This has been large shift in mindset of daily routines and interactions for all our students and they are to be commended for their embrace of new systems. Our new electronic gate system is now online, the gates are locked between 9:05 and 2:50. Between these times, you will need to buzz through to the front office to enter or exit the school. On Monday the school was abuzz with the joy of students being able to see all their classmates again. It was great to see everyone

back and enjoying the return to greater normality. In many ways, the changes over the last few months have underscored how important the classroom connection is to all

students.

The continued efforts of everyone to implement the social distancing and hand washing has been clear for all to see. In many ways, social distancing has changed the fundamental nature

of students’ play as there are many activities that students could previously undertake, such as a game of soccer, which are now unavailable to them.

A number of classes did a count of how often

they washed their hands or used sanitiser

during the day and realised, they were

sanitising at least 17 times a day. This has

been large shift in mindset of daily routines and

interactions for all our students and they are to

be commended for their embrace of new

systems.

Our new electronic gate system is now online,

the gates are locked between 9:05 and 2:50.

Between these times, you will need to buzz

through to the front office to enter or exit the

school.

school routines.

All students should be at school unless

delivery of learning and the remote

learning packages will not continue.

Playground equipment is open and is

cleaned after each play period.

Modified arrangements for pick up and

drop offs currently in place will continue.

This includes the use of the gate near the

K-2 grassed area. The Government’s

advice asking parents to pick up and drop

off students at the school gate also

remains current. We continue to ask

everyone to be mindful of social

distancing at the school gates at drop off

and pick up times.

The gate on the K-2 oval is only open for

pick up as the K-2 oval is not supervised

during morning play.

School buses continue to operate as

usual.
