OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

Our Partnership with ISC-Audubon to Help Spread the Seeds of Sustainability ISC-Audubon is a non-profit coalition of sustainability advocacy organizations and initiatives that include The International Sustainability Council (ISC), Audubon Lifestyles, Audubon Outdoors, Planit Green, Broadcast Audubon, and the Audubon Network for Sustainability.

It is only through membership, support and involvement, that ISC-Audubon is able to continue expanding their efforts to promote sustainability. They would not be able to continue to grow without membership support and involvement from the extraordinary group of individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, universities and municipalities who have decided that it was imperative to promote and support the tenets of sustainability.

Funds generated through memberships and donations are used to provide fruit & vegetable seeds, wildflower seed mix, and wildlife feed & birdseed to urban and suburban communities around the world. These seeds are used by communities to establish fruit and vegetable gardens, bird and wildlife sanctuaries, and for the beautification of urban and suburban landscapes by creating flower and native plant gardens.

Our Tournaments are held only at EcoMinded Golf Course Facilities Golf courses have trees and grass, critters; all kinds of nature and stuff, right? What's not to like? Better than a strip mall or a parking lot, surely. Yes, yes, of course. But the fact is that there are serious issues surrounding golf and its impact on the environment. And -- despite much self-congratulatory hyperbole from the golf industry about environmental sensitivity, sustainability and stewardship, and the obligatory eco-claims of every new golf resort -- there are still plenty of serious problems. There are issues about where golf courses are built, about how they're built, and especially about how they're maintained.

Our environmental vision is to demonstrate that by taking responsibility within our own golf course tournament that we can become a positive force for the environment while creating economic opportunities around the world. By our example, we hope to inspire personal action on and off the golf course.

We strive to hold our golf course tournaments only at golf facilities who have endeavored to become certified through an environmental or sustainability focused certification program such as those who choose to participate in the ISC-Audubon Sustainable Golf Facility Program.

Offsetting the EcoGolf Celebrity Charity Tournament’s Total Sustainability Footprint Trees absorb carbon dioxide and turn it into oxygen. The natural carbon dioxide cycle keeps a balance in the amount of CO2 in our atmosphere. But our actions and behaviors cause changes which upset this natural balance.

The impact of planting trees is one of the ways of offsetting our carbon emissions. (However we do need to do all we can to reduce our footprint on the planet, and offset that which cannot be reduced by planting trees.)

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

A wish come true for a child with a life-threatening medical condition provides a special kind of magic. It creates an indomitable spirit within the child to help sustain him or her through extremely difficult times, in hopes that miracles can be achieved.

The Southern Florida Chapter is celebrating 28 years of granting wishes to local children, and granted its first wishes in 1983. Today, the chapter serves the children of Broward, Collier, Glades, Hendry, Highlands, Indian River, Lee, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Okeechobee, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties, plus children of the US Virgin Islands.

The Foundation grants the wish of any child who is between the ages of 2 ½ -18 and diagnosed by a physician as having a life-threatening medical condition. Children may be referred by the child’s physician, parents or legal guardians, social worker or other healthcare professional or even themselves.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Event Terms & Condi ons

Between signature date and ninety (90) days prior to the first day of play, all rounds may be cancelled

without penalty.

Between eighty‐nine (89) days and sixty (60) days, the group may reduce the total number of

commi ed players by 75% (93 players), with no penalty for a ri on.

Between fi y‐nine (59) days and thirty (30) days, the group may reduce the total number of

commi ed players by 50% (62 players) with no penalty for a ri on.

Between twenty‐nine (29) days and seven (7) days, the group may reduce the total number of

commi ed players by 25% (31 players), with no penalty for a ri on.

Within six (6) days or less, all rounds are guaranteed.

GOLF CANCELLATION DUE TO INCLEMENT/DANGEROUS WEATHER

In the event of inclement/dangerous weather results in closing the course the following policy will be in

effect:

Registra on to ninety (90) days before the date of play $ 0.00 (0%)

The Club is the sole judge of whether the course is open or closed; playable or unplayable. If the

course is open and playable, the group will be expected to play the course during the me allo ed.

Unpleasant (rain, wind, hot and/or cold) condi ons do not cons tute unplayable (ligh ng, heavy rain

and/or standing water on the course condi ons) condi ons.

DRESS CODE

Golfers and spectators should at all mes dress in a manner appropriate for Wes n Diplomat Golf. Denim

pants, shorts or shirts of any color, tee shirts, casual sandals, halter‐tops, sweat shirts, jogging pants or

basketball shorts are NOT appropriate. Men must have a shirt with collar, or mock turtleneck. Women may

wear a crew neck shirt, T‐shirts of any kind are not appropriate.
