Infrastructure Project Executives (IPx) Course DRAFT

Page 2: iPX Draft Bro

Infrastructure is a country’s propellant for growth. It’s the veins that make the economy move. To stimulate and sustain investments, we must confront the exploding infrastructure opportunities. This will trigger an investment rush! We need to equipped our development actors and architects with new strategies on how to conceive, plan, assess, procure, design, construct and commission new and existing infrastructure in ways that fit our own unique contexts.  This  course  examines  the  factors  for  infrastructure  projects  to  succeed  in  today’s  rapidly  changing  landscape.  More  than  an  eye-‐opener,  it  offers  the  fastest

route  into  the  o=en  circuitous  and  complex  world.  It  describes  the  processes,  people,  instruments,  and  risks.  Then,  untangles  the  common  hurdles  for  efficient  implementaCon.  Finally,  it  presents  today’s  best  pracCces  to  promote  infrastructure  interests.    The  course  is  not  for  everyone.  It  is  for  top  professionals  who  can  commit  to  a  blended  (face-‐to-‐face  and  internet)  learning  course.  Comple>ng  one  module  leads  to  more  interests  in  other  prac>ce  domains.  It  responds  to  the  urgent  need  by  both  public  and  private  ins>tu>ons  for  infrastructure  point-‐persons:  the  Infrastructure  Project  Execu>ves  (iPX).  Familiar  with  the  processes,  best  prac>ces  and  key  actors,  a  cadre  of  iPX  CAN  facilitate  and  accelerate  infrastructure  development.
