PURGIT Refrigerated Vapour Recovery System (RVRS)

 The storage, loading and discharging of (petro)chemicals leads to the generation of vapours. These vapoursare harmful to the environment and mankind. In the past, these vapours have been released into theatmosphere in an uncontrolled manner, resulting in atmospheric pollution and product loss.

 The Refrigerated Vapour Recovery System is developed to process vapour handling in tank operationswithout reportable emissions. The RVRS can be applied as a Vapour Recovery unit during loading

 /discharging and for close loop tank degassing.

The working of the PURGIT RVRS.

PURGIT RVRS uses a proprietary system that

condenses and recovers tank vapours. This

system draws the vapours out of the tank with a

blower and then pushes them through a series

of condensers. The VOC vapours are condensed

back to their liquid phase and transferred to a

holding tank or inserted right back into the

cargo fill line. There is no combustion in theprocess which allows this one system to control

a larger number of products than any other

system. Depending on the application Purgit's

condensers are capable of recovering over 99%

of the VOC.

 The RVRS recovers Gasoline at 2 to 3 times thespeed of Thermal Oxidizers.

With few moving parts and stainless steel

construction, these units are designed to

operate for many years with minimal service.

With the RVRS system VOC compounds areeasily recovered. There is no combustion.Using non polluting nitrogen as the refrigerant,this system is capable of the very lowtemperatures necessary to condense a widerange of products*.

 The RVRS's have been thoroughly tested in thefield with a wide variety of products and haveestablished a long track record of reliability andsuccess.

Close Loop Tank Degassing

 The PURGIT RVRS system can degas inert tanks orbarges (low or zero O2) and keep it inertthroughout the operation. The PURGIT Close Loop

 Vapour Control System covers the whole tank andeliminates dead areas.

Close Loop Tank degassing with theRVRS is completelysafe while tank isinerted during theprocess. Theblanketing of thetank will continueuntil the required LELlevel is reached.
