YQCA Update– Testing Available Soon New this year– all 4-H’ers who wish to exhibit cattle, sheep,
goats, swine, and rabbits at the Warren County or Iowa State
Fair must be YQCA certified. The YQCA program is replacing
the previously used FSQA program. YQCA is an online test that
is designed to fit the understanding for each youth’s current
grade level. We anticipate testing to be open in
mid-November at which point the Extension office will
communicate how and where the test can be taken.
Each youth will be required to test every year to obtain
certification. However, if you have obtained FSQA certification
by testing out, your certification will be honored until it
expires. You will then need to become YQCA certified every
year following that expiration date. Each certification test will
be $12 per youth. Youth will have until May 15th to complete
their YQCA certification. More information will be released
very soon, so please be watching for informative emails in the
weeks to come.
