Friday evening we will welcome you with drinks at the beautiful 17th century canal house The Eagle located at the Golden Bend of the Herengracht. From there our club members will take you to their homes to enjoy our traditional ’gezellige’ home hospitality.

On behalf of the Rotary Club Amsterdam, it is my pleasure and honor to invite you to celebrate the 44th Leonardo da Vinci Award with us from Friday the 1st to Sunday the 3rd of June 2018 in Amsterdam.

Amsterdam is at its best in early summer, flowers are blooming and the rich cultural traditions of our city welcome you with open arms. The canals lined with their beautiful bridges, elms and houseboats, the fabulous museums and the UNESCO World Heritage listed historic city center are all waiting for you.

We look forward to you joining us for a great weekend in the fabulous center of Amsterdam.

Saturday The award ceremony on Saturday will take place at our national pride, the stunningly renovated Rijksmuseum which reopened in 2013 and houses the most iconic paintings from the Dutch Golden Age. During the award ceremony, a key-note speaker will focus on Europe and innovation in the spirit of Leonardo da Vinci.

After your lunch, there are many options to choose from: you may stay at the Rijksmuseum and enjoy the building and its collection, discover Amsterdam with one of our experienced city guides or take a back-stage tour of our Opera House. You are also free to spend theafternoon to your own liking.

We will meet again for our gala dinner at the Koninklijke Industrieele Groote Club at Dam square, in the bustling heart of the city where the origins of Amsterdam lie.
