PARKING at U of A games

(football and basketball)

BIKES, BLUES, BBQ

Page 13: Introduction of Band Staff

• With this in mind, we are going to require that everyone works 12 hours for the band. This can be Bikes, Blues, BBQ, Razorback football parking, or Razorback basketball parking.

• At least 4 of the 12 hours must be basketball parking.

Page 14: Introduction of Band Staff

• You still get credit in your trip account for $5.00 per hour BUT more importantly, you are earning money for the band.

• If fund raising is impossible, you have the option to pay $200.00 instead.

BAND TRIP FOR 2012-2013

Yes, we are planning to travel this year. As you know, we had planned to attend the Greater St Louis Marching Festival in October. This 44 year old contest was abruptly cancelled due to a conflict at the Edward Jones Dome. Since the cancellation, we have considered several options. We are not prepared at this time to announce our destination but we are looking at a mid-size trip in the range of $500-$600.00 per student. While final details are being worked out, we are moving forward with a payment schedule for students, which is listed below.

TRIP DEPOSITS FOR 2012-2013Monday, November 4th - $300.00 in each student’s trip account

Monday, January 14th - $600.00 total in each student’s trip account

STUDENT EXPECTATIONS ON TRAVELING WITH THE BANDWe expect everyone to travel with us when we attend a special performance. However, last year we lost several thousand dollars on unpaid students. We also had several who made partial payments when deposits were due asking us to cover the rest until they could get more money. We tried to help them but we ended up losing money. We can no longer do this. From now on, students will be expected to make trip deposits on time or we will have to remove them from the list. We have MANY fundraisers which are designed to help students make money for their trip accounts. Here are ways you can raise money for your student’s trip account:
