Our French colleagues at OKO have been distinguished twice with theMedal of Honour and the Special Jury Award at the 29th Grand PrixCommunications & Entreprises (Paris), the first for work produced forBellecour Ecole and the second for ACPE, a public service campaign

fighting child prostitution… and here is even more good news: for the 6th

consecutive year, OKO has been awarded the distinction of best editorialcontent agency of the year 2015. The ceremony took place last week inpresence of Fleur Pelerin, the culture minister. A genuine and greatachievement by Hervé Francès' team in Clichy.

Global television audiences in 2014

Viewing time spent by TV audiences worldwide keeps growing: 3h13 is last year’s average time spent infront of their screen daily, 3 minutes more than in 2013. A trend that is not expected to slow down, by theend of September 2015 viewing time grew yet another 3 minutes. The four most popular programmes by farare sports (with 58.1%), followed by entertainment shows (16.1%), fiction films (13.3%) and news &documentaries (11.6%). One should be aware that the way television is being looked at is largely influencedby the type of equipment ownership. Across Europe for example, 74,0% enjoy flat screen tv, whilstsmartphone ownership reaches 66.5% and 16.8% are users of a tablet.In terms of advertising spending, television succeeds in keeping its momentum with annual investments inexcess of € 35.5bn. Doner enlists new executive team to lead growing London agency

Our London partner agency has appointed a new leadership team to drive theagency continued growth and creative momentum. Nick Constantinou hasbeen named managing director, reporting to David DeMuth (Detroit) whileLogan Wilmont has been appointed executive creative director reporting toCCO Rob Strasberg.Nick having worked in London, San Francisco and NY for AKQA before joiningAddison Lee and has worked for clients as varied as Coca-Cola, Diaegeo, Fiat,Heineken, Motorola, Nike, Sainsbury.Wilmont brings to Doner a rich creative track record of over 250 of theindustry’s leading awards, including 5 Gold Lions, starting with his own agencyand Y&R (London) before mowing to New York and most recently serving asCheil Worldwide’s ECD for the UK and Europe.

Says Andrew Hawkins who remains with the agency on a consultative basis: “I’m excited for the team atDoner to have Nick and Logan’s experience, energy and track record serving our clients and continuing tobuild on our agency’s momentum”.

Kirsty (owner and CEO), Andres (managing director) and a creativecolleague – shown here ready at the start of a video conference withItaly – have been asked by Cooee Italia’s client FILA Solutions tohandle their US launch campaign. The activities will start preparingthe company’s presence at “Covering” (the national tyle & stone fair inChicago) as well a series of integrated prescribers activities andsubstantial in-store promotions. Xpand (www.xpandcg.com) has beenintroduced to us given their cooperation with Linda Jackson at Kingdom (Mexico).The agency is working for key clients among which Sony, Mastercard, Disney/ABC.

For their client Altron, a rapidly expanding Czech IT company, SrdceEvropy has cooperated with the new network partner agency SevenPlus to build a special installation for a fair in Istanbul. This event tookplace jointly with the DatacenterDynamics Congress Istanbul 2015.

One euro invested in advertising adds on average € 5 to the economy at large. This is the remarkable resultof a study undertaken by Deloitte for the Belgian association of communication agencies. The study is partof an extensive analysis of the country’s advertising scene. The latter employs 28,878 people directly andensures not less than 58,177 indirect jobs.
