Dear [Salutation],

Your steadfast generosity has allowed International Medical Corps to respond to an unprecedented number of major catastrophes around the world.

A year ago it was Ebola in West Africa. Then a 7.8 earthquake in Nepal … followed by

a deadly cholera outbreak in South Sudan … another earthquake in Afghanistan … a typhoon in the Philippines. And going on five years now – with no end in sight – the war in Syria.

Together, we are saving lives. And throughout all of these disasters, we’ve seen that

one person can be the catalyst for change. One person, equipped and trained to help where it is most urgently needed, is the best first responder in an emergency.

And our focus on teaching people to be that one person—and their own best first

responders—is what sets International Medical Corps apart from other relief agencies.

No matter where, no matter when, no matter the danger, International Medical Corps

relies on your generous support to deliver lifesaving health care and training—even in the midst of disasters—to empower local people to become their own best first responders.

Plus, we multiply your gift up to 30 times to create lasting and life-saving self-reliance.

Your contribution right now to support our first responder training and all of our emergency health care services could not be more critically needed.

[SalutationXXXXXXXXXX], that’s why I’m asking you to renew your

exceptional support for International Medical Corps now by making a

generous donation of [Ask1], [Ask2], or even [Ask3]. Your gift will be

multiplied many times to help us respond quickly, and to build self-reliance

by training first responders on the ground.

One of the first responders your previous support helped train is Aaron Sonah—a nurse

and International Medical Corps trainer in West Africa.

Aaron was one of the first health care providers to join our fight against Ebola in Liberia.

Despite losing 10 family members, and the dangers of contracting the virus himself,

Aaron stood by his patients and never missed a shift. When the Ebola crisis was at its height,

Aaron sacrificed comfort and sleep to tirelessly care for the sick and suffering.

He also helped train other first responders, sharing his knowledge of how to care for Ebola patients safely. Together, Aaron and his colleagues have trained over 5,000 men, women

and children in the region. And their work continues today.

Another brave first responder in the Ebola fight was nurse Kelly Suter who says: “If there was only one lesson I could take from this experience, it would be that a hero is simply an ordinary person who chooses to live their life in an extraordinary way. These heroes open their

hearts, embrace courage, give generously and risk much never anticipating a reward…”

Your generous contribution today can help train even more first responders like Aaaron

and Kelly to provide emergency services in West Africa and other countries such as:

Afghanistan—when a 7.5 earthquake shook remote regions of the country, our trained first responders knew immediately what to do. After the earth stopped shaking, one of them sounded the local S.O.S alarm and together with his fellow villagers dug through the rubble

rescuing survivors. Miraculously, everyone in his village survived. Support from people like you has helped us train local first responders like these for over 30 years now.

Syria and the surrounding region—where we have trained more than 3,700 first

responders and 12 million people remain in need of humanitarian assistance. Your contribution will help with ongoing primary health care, nutrition and food assistance, and mental health care.

You will also help provide critical supplies including winter clothing, and hygiene kits to men, women and children on the move throughout the region, in Europe and the Mediterranean.

Nepal—where our first responders were able to organize and begin providing emergency relief services within hours of last years’ devastating 7.8 earthquake. Your gift will help with

ongoing rehabilitation care through our mobile physical therapy units, and provide sanitation and water supplies, as well as assistance rebuilding health care facilities and much more.

In all these countries and around the world in the year ahead, your renewed support will

help ensure we can continue to respond to emergencies quickly—with lifesaving medical supplies and experienced doctors and nurses ready to help. And of course, your gift will help train local people to make a real and lasting difference as first responders.

But we can’t provide these critical services without your renewed help.

Remember, just one person can be the catalyst for change—and make a difference. Please be that one person today and help save lives by sending your most generous donation right now.

Sincerely,

Nancy A. Aossey

President and CEO

P.S. The reality is we could face another earthquake, hurricane, epidemic or man-made

disaster at any time. Please renew your support for our lifesaving efforts by returning your generous, tax-deductible gift to International Medical Corps right away. Thank you.
