WILPAK CLIENT CASE STUDY:

INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT FORWARDING COMPANY

A leading international freight forwarding company that provides logistics solutions in the air, perishables, sea and aviation industries contacted The Wilpak Group looking for a smart and innovative system that would prevent rapid temperature changes from damaging their freight during transportation.

The freight forwarding company were using a standard insulation material on all of their shipments, however the company identified that this was not sufficient and were seeking a cost-effective and efficient alternative that could maintain lower freight temperatures for longer durations.

The Wilpak Group recommended using a custom designed Insullite®

that would fit over the AVE freight containers while reflecting radiant heat and regulating temperature conditions.

Furthermore, utilising the temperature tracking technology of TempTRIP®, the freight forwarding company tracked temperatures in two separate

shipments, on the same journey, to find the best temperature regulating solution. The first shipment used the current materials while the second shipment used Insullite®

materials.

The data was downloaded from TempTRIP® and allowed the company to see the performance differences between Insullite® and the standard insulation material.

The freight forwarding company found that Wilpak’s Insullite®

solution outperformed the standard insulation material in all trials by keeping freight cooler for longer and regulating temperatures preventing extreme changes from occurring.

Insullite® and TempTRIP® allows the international freight forwarding company to maintain reliable quality control for all shipments.
