Happy New Year and warm season's greetings...

It is a matter of immense pleasure and privilege to invite

you to participate in the International Conference on 'Social

Innovations in Global Public Health & Nursing Care' to be th thheld on 7 – 9 January 2020 at Pravara Institute of Medical

Sciences – Deemed to be University, Loni (Bk), Tal. Rahata,

Dist. Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India.

Universal health coverage is one of the most pressing

objectives of the World Health Organization (WHO). A billion

people worldwide lack access to basic health care services, even

when proven treatments exist. To extend health care and

services to the most remote regions and marginalized

populations, we must actively engage people and communities

as the principal actors in their own health.

Gaps continue to exist in health systems and access to

health services in rural, tribal and urban India, despite advances

in disease prevention and control, diagnosis and treatment.

Social innovations provide a fresh lens to strengthen health

systems and primary health care. Through participatory

approaches, novel solutions are designed and implemented by

innovators, health system actors and other actors to address

complex and longstanding health problems. Social innovations

can be process, systems, roles or behavioral practices, or new

paradigms and policies. They enable health care delivery to be

more inclusive, effective and affordable. Social innovation

tackles “how” to improve health, by engaging communities in

creating and sustaining solutions.

We look forward to your gracious presence and

contributions in this conference. On behalf of organizing

committee, we assure you that every possible effort will be

made to see that your participation in the conference is worth,

meaningful, productive and memorable.
