INTRODUCCIONEl termostato ambiente objeto de este manual sealimenta elctricamente a 24 voltios, y dispone delos elementos necesarios para controlar el funcionamiento de la unidad.La manipulacin de todos los elementos debe realizarse con sumo cuidado, observando en todo momento las precauciones indicadas en cada caso. Lainstalacin del termostato debe ser llevada a cabopor un tcnico cualificado y con experiencia.INSTALACIONNOTA IMPORTANTE: Durante todo el procesoel termostato NO debe tener alimentacin elctrica en evitacin de descargas elctricas y/odaos a la unidad.DESMONTAJEUna vez extraido el termostato de la caja de embalaje, proceder a desmontarlo de la sigu iente forma.(Ver Fig. 1 .1. Quitar la tapa del termostato, tirando hacia arriba del borde inferior de la misma, hasta que sal

ga de su alojamiento.2 Retirar con cuidado y desechar tanto el cartnque sirve para inmovilizar durante el transportelos interruptores de mercurio, como el rellenode espuma que los protege y la tira de papel queinmoviliza el termmetro3 Separar el termostato de la sub-base soltandolos tres tornilios indicados en la Fig. 2 -

INTRODUCTIONThe room thermostat referred to in this manualshould be electrically suppled at 24 V. lt includes al/the elements required for unitcontrol andoperation.Al/ the elements mentioned throughout this manualshould be handled with extreme care, always kee-ping in mind the precaut ions indicated. The ther-mostat should be installed by a qualified and expe-rienced technician.INSTALLATIONIMPORTANT NOTE: The electricitysupply shouldbe disconnected throughout this process, in order to prevent shock hazards andlor unit dama-ge.DISMANTLINGOnce having unpacked the thermostat, proceed todismantle itas follows see Figure 1 :1. - Remove the thermostat cover, by pullng the lo-

wer edge upwards, unti l it snaps free.2 Carefully removeand discard both the piece ofcardboard which inmobilises the mercury swit-ches during transport and the foam rubber fillngwhich protects them, as we/1 as the strip of pa-

per which inmobilses the thermometer.3 Separate the thermostat from the subbase byremoving the three screws indicated n Figure 2

UBICACIONSituar el termostato sobre una pared interior, yaque la temperatura de las paredes exteriores varasegn las condiciones meteorolgicas.1.- Colocarlo a una distancia mnima de:Q,50 m. decualquier unin con una pared exteriOr.2 Situarlo aproximadamente a 1.50 m. sobre el nivel del suelo. No debe obstaculizarse la libre circulacin del aire ambiente alrededor del termt>stato.3 Cuando se haya seleccionado la mejor ubicacin posible para el montaje del termostato,comprobar que no exista ninguno de los siguientes inconvenientes:

a El termostato no debe situarse cerca de tendidos de tubera de agua caliente o vapor.b Asegurarse de que no hay ninguna habitacin fra o no habitada al otro lado del tabique.e Asegurarse de que no hay ningn horno o cocina, situados al otro lado del tabique.d El termostato no debe estar expuesto al calorradiante de una chimenea, ni al calor directodel sol, a travs de una ventana.e El termostato no debe estar expuesto a corrientes de aire, procedentes de una escalerao puerta exterior.f El termostato no debe estar afectado por co.rrientes de aire procedentes de rejillas , difu

sores, etc.g No debe verse afectado por el calor de lmparas, televisin, etc.MONTAJE DE LA SUB-BASEEl termostato est previsto para su montaje saliente en pared y no precisa de cajas adicionales. Porfacilidad y seguridad en el conexionado, pudieraser aconsejable en algunos casos la colocacin deuna caja de distribucin empotrada, como se ndicaen la Fig. 1 Es preciso comprobar previamente quelos taladros de sujecin de la sub-base se corresponden con los de la caja empleada.Para el montaje de la sub-base proceder como sigue:1.- Preparar un alojamiento para el cableado deltermostato en el lugar elegido.

of the fo/lowing drawbacks exist:a The thermostat should not be mounted near

e The thermostat should not be exposed todraughts from a stairway or outside door.f The thermostat should not be affected bydraughts from grilles, diffusers, etcg lt should not be affected by heat from lamps,television sets, etc.

SUBBASEMOUNTJNGThe thermostat is intended for wa/1 mounting, andrequires no addi tional boxes. In order to make con-nection saferandmore straightforward, in sorne ca-ses it may be advisable to insta// a flush fit ted distri-bution box, as shown in Figure 1 lt should be chec-kedbeforehand that the fixture holes in the subbasecorrespond with those in the box being used.To mount the subbase, proceed as follows:1.- Prepare a hollow for the thermostat wiring, atthe desired location.2 Check the unit wiring diagrams and the requiredoptionals, in order to determine the number ofwires needed.3 ;_ Run the low voltage thermostat wires from theunit to the thermostat location, and allow a

laFig. 35 Nivelar la sub-base, utilizando un nivel de burbuja. Para ello, se pueden efectuar ligeros ajustes por medio de las ranuras de montaje incluidas en la sub-base.

NOTA IMPORTANTEUna sub-base sin nivelar puede dar lugar aun anormal control de la temperatura. Asegurarse de que la sub-base est perfectamente nivelada.

4 Introducir el cable sobrante dentro del alojamiento en la pared y tapar con masilla o materialsellante, para que las corrientes de aire no afecten al termostato.NOTA: Es recomendable usar cables de dis-tintos colores para facilitar el cableado.

MONTAJE DEL TERMOSTATO1. Montar el termostato sobre la sub-base y apretar los 3 tornillos mostrados en la Fig. 2.

ATENCION: Estos tornillos son continuado-res de circuito por lo que deben quedar colo-cados los tres suficientemente apretados.2 Colocar la tapa a presin, sobre las cuatro patillas de plstico situadas una en cada esquinadel termostato.REGULACION Y AJUSTENo hace falta realizar ningn ajuste, dado que losanticipadores de calor y fro son fijos y no es necesario realizar ninguna modificacin al utilizar distintos tipos de sistemas de control, siempre que suconsumo no sea superior a 1 5 Amperios.Situar los selectores de temperatura en la posicindeseada. Los sensores tardarn aproximadamenteuna hora en estabilizarse a partir del momento enque la temperatura de la habitacin alcanza la seleccionada en el termostato .CALI BRACION DEL TERMOMETROEl termmetro viene perfectamente ajustado de ori -gen y no suele precisar manipulacin alguna, sinembargo, si en algn momento se comprueba queest descalibrado, se puede recalibrar fci lmentesin necesidad de quitar el cristal de la cubierta.Pararecalibrar el termmetro, proceder de la s igu ientemanera:1. Retirar la tapa del termostato.2 Colocar la tapa .en una mesa, cerca de un termmetro de alta precis in.3 Despus de pasar 5 1Ominutos para que seestabilice, comparar lecturas. THERMOSTATASSEMBLY1.- Mount the thermostat on the subbase, and tighten the 3 screws shown in Figure 2.

WARNING: These screws are circuit continuers and al/ three should therefore be fitted andproperly tightened.2.- Press the cover on, over the plastic clips situated at each comer of the thermostat.REGULA TION ANDADJUSTMENTNo adjustment is required, since the heating andcooling anticipators are fixed, and no modification isneeded when using different types of control system, providing that the consumption of the latterdoes not exceed 1,5 Amps.Position the temperature se/ectors as desired Thesensors wi/1 take approximately 1 hour to stabilizefrom the time that the room temperature reachesthat set on the thermostat.

THERMOMETER CALIBRA T ON_he thermometer has been perfectly adjusted whenmanufactured, and does not general/y require manipulation. However, if at any moment is it found to

be unca/ibrated, it may easily be re-calibrated without removing the glass cover. In arder to recalibrate the thermometer, proceed as follows:1. Take off the thermostat cover.2 Place the cover on a table near a high precisionthermometer.3 Wait for 5 or 10 minutes for it tn s l : ~ l l ~ ;ndthen compare readings. ff fil ey c/fffnr ' ' ; 1 a tion is necessary4 Tum the cover over and nserta sma/1 screw driver in the thermometer shaft.
