By adopting a completely paperless
working strategy, “It enables us efficient
and flexible operations, even if we manage
2.3 million policies with only sixteen
employees”, Says Weber.
As one of the biggest funeral insurers in the Netherlands, Axent
emerged as a new business based on an existing insurance
portfolio. Due to the company not relying on a legacy program,
it opted to “choose the most modern solution”, says André
Weber, Technology Officer at Axent. In order to be flexible and
to respond to market developments, the company focused on
the core business activities as much as possible.

One key feature of CXAIR is the ease of use, with
the solution based on search technology that is
instantly familiar to anyone that has used an
internet search engine. Also, the return on
investment was estimated at two years, “That was
without even taking into account the additional
opportunities CXAIR has to offer”. In January 2013
Axent and Systemation began the implementation.
During the implementation, it was noted how “The
pro-active attitude of Systemation helped the
process”.
Since the summer of 2013, Axent have been able to
see the full benefits of choosing CXAIR. The
monthly reports for management are delivered
much faster and both marketing and sales
departments are using the platform for their own
information and analysis.
At the beginning of the third quarter of 2013, the
first marketing campaigns supported by CXAIR
were carried out. “We see that the number of
requests for occasional reporting is minimised and
people easily find use the software and data. An
indication of the flexibility of CXAIR is that the
predecessor of the current policy administration,
which resides outside the ASP environment, may
be approached and questioned. As a result, we now
have a single, complete view of our entire data set.
CXAIR also provides our future information
management needs.”
Tom Nieuwenhuis is a daily user of
CXAIR as a controller within
Axent who supervised the CXAIR
implementation project. “Life has
become a lot easier. In the old
process, reporting was very
labour intensive, we reported by
linking many separate files. CXAIR
has the turnaround of monthly
reports reduced to a day or for an
hour. We have got a more
complete understanding and are
now able to disprove or
substantiate suspicions.”
