DUTIES We are looking for a dynamic and engaging individual to join the Math, Sciences and Communication department as an Instructor of Communication in a variety of certificate, diploma and degree programs. Communication is taught as a core skill for academic and career success, and focuses on strategies for, and practice in, reading comprehension, effective speaking, active listening, and writing for specific purposes. Reporting to the department Chair, the successful candidate will fulfill the duties of an Instructor as outlined in RRC's Collective Bargaining Agreement, and may be assigned to the Notre Dame and/or the Exchange District campuses.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in a related subject (for example, professional or applied communication;

education); other combinations of education and experience may be considered • Experience teaching international students and/or speakers of English as an additional language • Commitment to student success through active and facilitative approaches to teaching • Experience creating a positive learning environment with diverse learners • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to create or refine teaching materials • Strong written communication skills • Excellent presentation skills • Strong verbal communication skills • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills • Effective leadership skills • Experience working in a technology supported environment • Demonstrated skills with MS Office programs • Values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion • Commitment to lifelong learning
