SPEAKER BIOGRAPHIESGloria Antiagloria is the Park Naturalist for the City of Miami Parks and Recreation Department. Prior to this position, she served as the Executive Director of Citizens for a Better South Florida. gloria has a BS in Environmental Science and a MBA from FIU.

Kathy BeckKathy has 37 years of experience in urban forest management. She currently manages the Natural Resource planning for the City of Tampa and is the staff lead in coordinating the 2013 Urban Ecological Analysis and Urban Forest Management Plan.

Jeff CasterJeff Caster was born in the garden State, but is celebrating 39 years of good fortune to live in La Florida, the land of flowers. Jeff is a lifelong conservationist. he has served the Florida DOT since 1993 and is currently the State Transportation Landscape Architect. Jeff is a Fellow at the ASLA and has degrees from Purdue University, Florida A&M University and Cornell University.

Wade CollumWade is the Urban Forester for the City of Pompano Beach. One of his most important accomplishments in his career has been his ability to promote the scientifically-based practice of arboriculture through public awareness. Wade uses every opportunity to promote professional principles to better the environment for future generations.

Chris CastroChris received a BS in Environmental Studies and Policy from UCF and is LEED certified. he has developed policies, programs, and initiatives to support the sustainability, energy and climate-related goals of “green Works Orlando.” he co-founded Citizen Energy and sits on the US green Building Council of Florida and several other boards.

Anna DooleyAnna is the Executive Director for greenscape of Jacksonville. She is a Past President of the FUFC and has served on the National Alliance of Community Trees Executive Committee. She received the Jacksonville Environmental Protection Board’s award and the Arbor Day Foundation’s 2016 Lawrence Enersen Award.

Debra EvensonDebra has worked for KTBB for 17 years and now serves as the Executive Director. She has led them through a merger, rebranding and expanding their visibility, presence and value in the community. Debra is on the KAB Board of Directors, Keep Florida Beautiful Board of Directors and is President of KAB Affiliates of Florida.

Justin FreedmanJustin is a Senior Scientist and South Florida Manager for E Sciences, Inc. he received a BA in biology from Tufts University and his MS from Nova Southeastern University. Justin is an ISA Certified Arborist, a Certified Landscape Inspector, Past President of the FUFC Executive Committee, and chairperson for the 2016 UFI.

Javier GarcesJavier received his BS in horticulture and PhD in Plant Medicine from UF. he is a Professor and Program Director for the Landscape and horticulture Technology Program at valencia College. he has specialized in woody ornamental plant production. Being a farmer at heart, Javier still likes visiting and consulting with farmers.

David GennaroDavid currently serves as the Managing Director of grounds for valencia College. he oversees a combination of in-house staff and contracted services to maintain eight campuses comprising over 400 acres. he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from UF and is an ISA Certified Arborist.

Erin GivensErin received her BS from UF and is an ISA Certified Arborist. Erin has over 10 years of experience assisting municipalities and private sector clients. She specialized in conducting street tree inventories, urban forest canopy analyses and utilizing i-Tree to quantify the monetary benefits of the urban forest.

Elizabeth HarkeyElizabeth has 35 years in the green industry. She is the City of Sanford’s Urban Forester. She manages grants for tree mitigation, open space restorations, tree distribution grants, urban and community forestry grants. She is a Past President of the FUFC and serves on the FYN Advisory Committee for Seminole County.

John HarrisJohn is the Principal of Landscape Economics LLC and also President of Earth Advisors, Inc. he was inducted into Lambda Alpha International honorary Land Economics Society in 1997 for his dedicated work determining and defending tree and landscape values. he has been working in the green Industry for over 30 years.

Dan LambeDan leads the strategic development of programs and partnerships for the Arbor Day Foundation. The ADF has grown to become the largest nonprofit membership organization with over one million members. Their programs include Tree City USA, Community Tree Recovery, Partners in Community Forestry National Conference, and global reforestation.

Charlie MarcusCharlie received his BS from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and is an ISA Certified Arborist. he provides urban forestry services for both public and private clients. Previously, he worked for the Florida Forest Service for 35 years in the management of trees and was the Urban Forestry Programs Coordinator for 10 years.

Brent McCallisterBrent is a retired Landscape Architect graduating from West virginia University. he has provided expertise in on-site evaluation, master planning, landscape design, and park design within Florida’s natural plant communities. he was the Streetscape Coordinator for UF/IFAS Orange County Cooperative Extension.

Rob NorthropRob’s focus of work involves teaching urban and community forestry, providing conservation planning assistance to local, state and federal governments, and applied research into the changing character and ecological function of the Tampa Bay Watershed’s urbanizing forest. Previously he taught wildlife management at the University of Delaware.

Kimberly PearsonKimberly is the Chief Landscape Plans Examiner for the City of Fort Lauderdale. She has an AS in Ornamental horticulture, a BS in horticulture Management, and is currently pursuing her MS in Natural Resource Planning. Kim is also an ISA Certified Arborist, an LIAF Certified Landscape Inspector, an FNgLA Certified

horticultural Professional, as well as a designated CPTED Practitioner.

Mike RobinsonMike received a BS from the University of Florida in Forest Resources and Conservation. he began his career as a Forest Ranger and was hired as an Urban Forester for JEA in 1979. he has received many state and international awards and is a Past President of the FUFC. Mike currently serves as President of greenscape of Jacksonville.

Theresa Schretzmann-MyersTheresa received her BA with honors from Saint Leo University in science and history. She is currently a paralegal, grant writer and volunteer coordinator. Since 2006 she has served as Chairman of the Town of Windermere’s Tree Board coordinating their Arbor Day Festival and urban forestry tree planting projects.

Brian T. SheahanBrian has a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. he is a Certified Urban and Regional Planner with 20 years of professional experience. he is currently the administrator for the Keep Lake Beautiful Program and Code Enforcement and Probation Services Divisions.

Lou ShepherdLou is the Urban and Community Forestry Programs Coordinator for the Florida Forest Service. Lou received his BS in Forestry from the University of Florida, MBA from Orlando College and is an ISA Certified Arborist. he is currently working with the Arbor Day Foundation on the Florida’s “Energy-Saving Trees” program.

Brian VoelkerBrian has over 18 years of experience specializing in natural resource assessments and permitting and certified arborist services. Brian received his BS in Environmental Studies from State University of New York and his MS from Nova Southeastern University. he is an ISA Certified Arborist, qualified in TRAq and a LIAF Certified Landscape Inspector

Mark WilliamsMark became the City of Miami Beach’s Urban Forester in 2012. he received his BS in horticultural Sciences with honors from UF and has 17 years’ experience in the horticultural and arboricultural fields. he is an ISA Certified Arborist Municipal Specialist and TRAq certified, a Certified Landscape Inspector, and a Registered Consulting Arborist.

Don WinsettDon is a 30-year veteran of the green services industry and led Davey’s business development team through a visionary growth plan, connecting their research-based best practices. Don’s passion and dedication to the industry is exemplified by his leadership roles in the ISA and the seven-year Chair of the USFS Sustainable Urban Forest Coalition.

Wayne ZimmermanWayne has a BS in Electrical Engineering from UCF and has been with Orlando Utilities Commission for 30 years and is a manager in distribution and transmission maintenance. he administers OUC’s North American Electric Reliability Council compliance plan for Transmission vegetation Maintenance and is responsible for public education, Arbor Day events, tree planting, and more.
